"Hi Selena, it's finally nice to meet you." Denise said as she went in for a hug. Selena returned the favor, happy that she had a good impression already.

The middle-aged woman pulled away, holding both of Selena's hands. "I'm Denise, but I'm sure you know that already." She smiled.

"Well of course, I had to know the name of my future mother-in-law one way or another." Selena joked, followed by a small giggle. Denise joined in, giggling also. Her head leaned back as she laughed at Selena's small joke. Denise then turns to Nick and smiled. "I like this one, Nick." She said pleased.

All Nick did was flash a smile. He was happy that Selena had a good impression on his mother so far. He just couldn't wait for the rest of the family to be impressed.

Denise turned her head back into Selena's direction. Still holding her hands, she pulled Selena a little closer, examining her face. "I must say, you look very familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?" She asked. "No, I don't think. Unless we met in another life or something." Selena giggled.

Chuckling at Selena's assumption, she let go of one of her hand. She tugged at it a little, as if she were a little girl begging to go somewhere. "Come on in guys. Let's meet the rest of the family, Selena." She said excitedly as they entered the lovely home.

Selena carefully followed the woman into the magnificent house. There was a huge white stairway that led to the second floor; as seen if you were to walk in. The house had great decor! Black and red throw pillows on the cotton beige couch, and also the curtains and the carpet to match the ideal colors.

Pictures of babies, children, and teens hung up on the walls every corner you would turn. There were kids, grand kids, and lots of family pictures. Something Selena always wanted, a family.

Every place you'd look was clean. The house was spotless! As if it was left untouched. Not even dust dared to invade the space of any single object in that house.

"You have a lovely home Mrs. Jonas." Selena gushed. "Thank you honey." She said feeling blessed. "I especially like the color coding in the living room." Selena said honestly as she admired her technique. "It's about time someone commented on that." Denise chuckled and gave Selena a side hug.

The girls laughed it off as Nick entered with the four bags they brought. "Thanks for helping." He said sarcastically as he shut the front door. But no one heard him, and the girls kept talking.

"You get me, Have you ever tried to decorate the apartment?" Denise asked. Confused, Selena's eyebrow arched. "Apartment?" She asked. "I just assume since you guys are engaged, you would be living together by now...." Denise said awkwardly.

"We do, mom." Nick said joining in on their conversation. He walked closer to his fiancé and kissed her cheek. "Awe, you guys..." Denise melted. The couple chuckled at her.

Calming down, Nick looked serious. "Where's everyone mom?" He asked. She smiled a bit and said, "Around here somewhere." "Call them, I want them to meet my bride to be." Nick said kissing Selena's cheek again. Once again, Denise melted.

Just then, a little girl came running in from upstairs. "Grandma, have you seen my dolly?" She asked with a pout. "Honey, say hi to Uncle Nick." Denise said.

The little girl turned to the couple and smiled, mostly at her uncle. "Uncle Nick!" She yelled excitedly. She jumped onto Nick and wrapped her arms around his waist. Nick chuckled and lifted her up. "Hey Payton!" He gushed giving her a small peck on her small cheek.

"I missed you." She giggled. "I missed you too Payt." He chuckled, kissing his niece's nose. She giggled once more. "Where's mommy and daddy?" He asked, setting her down back on her feet. "Upstairs with Alena." She smiled.
