Arnold held true to his word. He spent the better part of an hour giving Bridged his undivided attention. Bridged loved when Arnold paid such close attention to her. It was hard to keep quiet with Arnold's face between her legs, but somehow Bridged managed not to make any noise.

"Was that good enough for you?"

Bridged opened her eyes. Arnold loomed over her with his hips pressed intimately against hers. Bridged gave her husband a saccharine as she reached up and traced the line of his jaw with her fingers.

"That was perfect."

Arnold gave her the smile that he loved before he moved to lie beside her. Bridged rearranged her clothes before she rolled over and snuggled up next to Arnold. Arnold pressed a kiss to her forehead as they both settled down to sleep. Night sounds echoed softly around them. There was a bug that made a sound similar to the singing of crickets and Bridged was grateful for the noise. It reminded her of home.

"I miss home."

Arnold ran a hand through Bridged's hair. "What is it you miss about home?"

Bridged raised her head so that she could peer up at Arnold. All she could see was the vague outline of his face. "I miss being able to be myself around you without having to pretend that I hate your spineless guts."

Arnold chuckled softly. "If we found one native then there must be others. I will rock your world when we are accepted into one of their villages. Deal?"

Bridged gave a quiet huff of laughter as she snuggled back down next to Arnold. "I'll hold you to that promise."

Boot steps crunched softly not far from them as one of the sentries made their rounds. Bridged watched the man move. She feigned sleep as he moved closer. Arnold's fingers pressed slightly against Bridged as the man moved away.

Bridged put her lips against Arnold's ear and barely whispered to him. "We need to do something my love. Beard is getting suspicious of us. We are holding him up and he doesn't like it."

Arnold nodded before his breath tickled her ear as he spoke back. "He will find some way to get rid of us the sooner the better."

Bridged snorted as she found a more comfortable spot on Arnold. "I hope it is in the morning."

The trees around the small campsite were full of natives. The native that had saved Bridged had brought a group of elite warriors to study the strange people he had described to them. They had been following them for the better part of the day. None could understand why they made camp out in the open instead of within the trees. It seemed that they were not worried about danger.

The natives had remained watchful while camp was being set up and food was prepared. The native pointed out to his brethren the woman and her mate. Language flowed between the natives telepathically as they contemplated on the two. The natives caught the furtive looks the others in the group sent towards the two. Something was going on, but it was beyond the natives grasp. All they could do was wait and see what happened.

Night fell as the natives settled down to watch. The woman and her mate did more of their arguing before settling down away from the group. The natives' sharp eyes watched curiously as the man gave his woman pleasure. They weren't sure what he was doing till the watched the way the woman moved. They nodded to each other in understanding when they realized what was going on. They watched curiously as the man finished and they settled down to sleep.

They waited while one moon rose. Nothing happened till deep in the night when the third moon had risen. Movement could be seen amongst the strangers' camp. The fire was stroked so that it shone brightly. Several torches were lit and were driven in a ring around the woman and her mate who still lay sound asleep.
