Jungka was impressed with the armor that Arnold had fashioned for the natives. He tapped a breastplate with the knuckle of his right index finger.

"It's not the type of armor that we are used to, but you've done a fine job. How has it held up against the enemies weapons?"

"Not good." Arnold scratched at his whisker covered jaw. "My peoples' weapons are meant to cause as much damage as possible. Not even the armor we wear back home can fully protect you from our weapons. All it can do is lessen the damage, but it all depends on what weapon was used to shoot you."

Jungka grunted as he studied the armor clad man in front of him. "You are on the right track. Our armor is made out of the same plant material, but the manner in which it was made is different. Once the plant has been molded and allowed to dry in the sun you must heat it in an underground pit full of hot embers. It's a long process, but the armor is not easily destroyed."

"Do we have time to make more of your armor?"

"I'm afraid not, Chief Nakiki." Jungka said apologetically. "The whole process takes months to accomplish and we don't have months to make armor for everyone."

Chief Nakiki nodded weariness lined her face as she asked Jungka her next question. "What do you suppose we do? Our people cannot hold out much longer."

Renen offered Chief Nakiki an encouraging smile. "With help from Bridged and Arnold we plan on sabotaging the enemies from the inside. Our warriors are able to move lot quicker than yours and we can get in and out fast."

Bridged perked up as she turned to look at Arnold. "What if we use the same tactics we used on those poachers in Zimbabwe?"

Arnold rubbed at his chin and shrugged. "The least we can do is try. We're still going to get shot at though." Arnold frowned at Bridged. "You always seem to drag me into situations that deal with us being shot at."

Bridged fluttered her eyelashes at her husband. "It's not my fault that people refuse to listen to me."

Arnold snorted. "You just like the adrenaline."

"True, but I can find other ways to get my high."

Jungka and Renen were looking at Bridged and Arnold as if they were a little touched in the head. Naknaki laughed. "They do this all the time. Eventually you'll just learn to tune out their oddness."

Jungka grunted before he spoke. "Can you give us insight as to how to destroy your people from the inside?"

A big smile stretched across Bridged's face as she began rubbing her hands together. Arnold shook his head in a resigned way.

"What all do you know about ghosts?"
