Is he really gone?

"So that's my story, also I used to play chess alot", Eren finished telling his story. I was just tearing up, dang his story was so touching. "Damn Newt, man up dude, you cry a lot, I noticed", Eren said laughing a bit. "Sorry, but this story was really touching", I wipped my tears away. "You know what, I got an idea, I will make every chess piece and then we will play some chess", he got an idea but the problem is, I never really learned how to play chess.

I just nodded insecurely. "What's wrong?", he looked at me confused. "You have to teach me how to play that game", I responded. He sighed. "What did you do your whole life?", he asked me. "I was a big nerd", I responded. "You know, playing video games, reading comics etc", I added. He nodded. "Fine I will teach you", he agreed. I stood up. "Well I will go explore more around the camp", I said. He nodded again doing his work.

I walked away from the table and walked into the woods. Hm, it's really pretty in here, I must say. I went deep into the woods and found a quiet place. I sat leaning on a tree and watched my surroundings. I was really wondering how long will the ship take, I really want away from here. I mean it's not like I do not enjoy being with the Raiders but I just want to be with my crew again.

My eyes started closing slowly, what? what was.. and I fell asleep. I opened my eyes and it was pitch black, what just happened! I stood up and looked around me. I was still in the woods, what the heck just happened! "Newt!", I could someone calling. "Newt where are you!", I heard another voice calling for me.

I ran towards the voices. As I ran I bumped into Grant. I fell on my ass from that collision. I looked up, it was Grant. He stretched his arm towards me, openeing his hand to get me up. I took his hand and he pulled me up. "Sir, why did you go here?", he asked me. "Sorry, I just wanted some silence and thought the woods would be great", I explained. "Do not enter these woods Sir, in these woods is some weird nectar that makes people fall alseep, than wild animals will track you and eat you up while you sleep. I am really glad you managed to wake up", Grant explained me. Interesting forest I must say. "Sorry, I won't go there anymore, I promise", I responded.

Maybe this forest will help me get into the dreamworld, no Newt you can't abuse that, the animals might kill you, Grant just explained it to you.

They took me back to the camp and we sat down for dinner. I seen Eren sit next to me. "How is the woodcrafting going?", I asked him. "Pretty well, I just need to make one more chess piece and I am done, then I have to start working on the chess board", he responded.

Frank's wife Teresa made some fresh burgers, the bread was freshly baked and the meat came from hunting. The veggies were taken from the garden, everything was freshly made, even the fries, the mayonnaise and ketchup. It was so tasty, I could tear up but I didn't of course. I am not a baby ok?

When we finished the food, Teresa brought some freshly made wine and moonshine to the table. I took the moonshine, cause why not. We drank, sang songs, danced and just had a great time.

Eren finished the whole chessboard and the last chess piece and we played some chess, I sucked so badly but I started to learn slowly.

After it got late I went into my hut and lay on my bed. I closed my eyes and fell asleep....
