Allie's POV
I threw my head back laughing as the door slammed shut behind us and Brantley did he best to balance holding me and kicking his boots off. Grumbling under his breath he shifted me over his shoulder popping me on the ass as I laughed harder.
"Shut it Allie," he said laughing as well finally getting one boot free then working on the other. I popped his jean covered ass earning me a growl.
"You know B," I said between giggles. "Could just always put me down."
"Where's the fun in that baby?" he said twisting and cursing under his breath when he almost tripped over his pants leg before finally getting his foot free. "Get my work out for the day in."
"You saying I'm heavy B?" I growled as he laughed and walked towards the stairs rubbing a hand on my lower thigh.
"Never darlin," he said sliding his hand higher toying to the edge of my shorts. "If I ever thought that then just would mean I'd need to lift more weights. Like the feeling of you up in my arms way too much."
"Nice save Romeo," I said rolling my eyes as he sat me down on my feet at the base of the stairs slamming his lips down on mine. I couldn't keep the whimper in at the thoroughly possessive kiss as I wound my arms around his neck pressing as close as I could get. I pulled back a second later giving him a look. "B, you're forgetting the pizza outside. Why don't we eat then take this upstairs?"
"Mmmm noo..." he said kissing his way across my neck. "How about you stay right here, I'll go put them in the kitchen. I rather like the idea of having my dessert first tonight. Save the pizza for later."
"Ohh do tell," I said dragging my fingers over his neck making him shiver. "Been a while since had cold pizza, naked in bed."
"I remember that being a recurring theme once upon a time," Brantley said with a chuckle then taking a step back pointing a finger at me. "Don't move."
I smiled watching him back up to the door then giving me a wink before he stepped outside retrieving the pizzas. I couldn't keep the laugh in as he slammed the door and shook his ass at me as he walked by grinning. As serious as he could be and dedicated to what he did, this was the side I loved to see. The man was a veritable goofball and I loved this side of him. He had always been able to make me laugh. Granted not always at the most opportune times. A second later he reappeared with a naughty grin spread across his lips and the to go container of chocolate icing we had swiped in his hand. Oh boy, I knew that look. I was in trouble. I let out a yelp when he ducked down tossing me over his shoulder before heading up the stairs.
"B," I said with a giggle. "Caveman much?"
"Man on a mission Allie Cat," he said with a dark chuckle.
"Oh yes," I said rolling my eyes even if he couldn't see me. "Never stand between you and chocolate."
"Damn right," Brantley said with a laugh as he made it to the top of the stairs turning to head to his bedroom. I couldn't help it, I tensed up the closer he got. I bit my lip closing my eyes mentally willing myself to not go there. Don't go there Allie. I tried to hide it as he walked in turning to kick the door closed behind us then stalked over to sit the icing down on the night stand before sitting me down on the bed. He slowly lowered to his knees reaching for my hands as I looked down at them. Those big hands and long fingers had always made mine feel and look so dainty compared to his. Swallowing deeply, I lifted my eyes meeting the concerned green ones staring at me. Then reading me like always he lifted a hand to cup my cheek.
"Get out of your head Allie Grace," he whispered giving me a knowing look. "But I will put your mind to ease okay. Only ever been you here."
"Really?" I said unable to resist glaring at him slightly. I had been gone for four years. I wasn't crazy.
"Yes," Brantley said narrowing his eyes at me in challenge. "I know what you are thinking. Want the truth? Jana either came to see me on the road or I went to Nashville. The only time I ever brought her home was to Mama's and that was because I had a tour stop close by. She never even set foot in this house."
"And Amber?" I grumbled halfway not wanting to believe him.
"I stayed over there most of the time," he said shrugging his shoulders. "Yes, she came over to hang out when I was home but not like you are thinking. The ghost of you was hanging over this house and she knew it."
"Oh," I murmured not meeting his eyes as he sighed. He lifted my hands sitting them on his shoulders leaning closer to me.
"Yea oh," he whispered giving me a gentle smile. "Now get out of that head of yours please. I love you Allie. I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you.
"I love you too," I whispered leaning forward to kiss him deeply. I let out a disgruntled sigh when he pulled his head back laying his forehead on mine. Brantley gave me a mischievous look biting his lip
"Trust me?" he asked looking in my eyes with question. What was he up to?
"With everything that I have," I answered trying to reach for him but was stopped when he stood up quickly taking his hat off and tossing it onto the dresser.
"Don't move," he said with a wink then headed into the closet. I could hear him rummaging around as I leaned back with my elbows on the bed. Brantley reappeared a minute later with a big smirk on his full lips as he walked back to the edge of the bed stepping between my legs and leaning over me. He crooked a finger at me to sit up. I slowly did never taking my eyes off his. I leaned my head back a little in surprise when he tugged a black bandana out of his pocket. I bit my lip as he gently tied it around my eyes then trailed his big hands down my arms making me shiver. He gripped the edges of my t-shirt tugging it over my head slowly before trailing his calloused fingers over my skin to pop the clasp on my bra with a chuckle.
"Not playing fair B," I grumbled as he settled a big hand into the middle of my chest pushing me backwards onto the soft bed. I felt the bed dip as he leaned over me grabbing my hips scooting me backwards his hands trailing up and down my body making my breathing pick up.
"Nope," he whispered planting his hands on either side of my head leaning down to swirl his tongue over the curve of my neck making me whimper. "I'm not. I'll remind you again to get out of your head since you can't see, well baby, guess you are just gonna have to focusing on feeling aren't you." I bit back a moan as he popped the button my shorts easing the zipper down before grasping the denim and pulling them down my legs. He nipped my ear lobe sharply. "Thought is making you wet isn't it Allie Cat. Helps that you so sweetly decided to wear nootthiinnn today."
"You know it is," I moaned trying to lift my arms to wrap around his neck only to have him grip both my wrists tightly. "What the hell B?"
"Relax baby," he murmured kissing me possessively pushing my hands over my head. I gasped as he chuckled when I felt something smooth slip over one wrist, then the other then felt a quick tug as my hands stretched higher.
"B......" I said with a gasp. I tried to pull my hands free but couldn't.
"Yes......" he drawled so innocently I could imagine him batting his eyes at me if I could see.
"What is that?" I asked before letting a out a gasp as he rolled over onto his side tracing a finger around my stomach in soft circles.
"Maybe a little rope," Brantley murmured kissing the side of my neck before sucking hard. I squirmed against the feeling. "Black velvet actually. Nice and smooth huh?"
"Evil man," I said shaking my head then gasping when he leaned down to bite my bottom lip. "What are you up to?"
"Well baby," he whispered against my lips making my already pounding heart race even more. "I think I'm gonna have two of my favorite things. Chocolate and you."
