Allie's POV

I made my way through the crowd smiling as I walked. The first real smile I'd had today. My shoulders had been tense ever since I left my loft this morning knowing what I was facing. I adjusted the small bag of lenses I was carrying as I climbed up the short flight of steps to give me a good view of the venue concourse. I snapped a couple quick shots of the crowd I may use later.

Lowering my camera, I watched a couple off to the side. They looked to be in their early twenties. My heart instantly panged at how in love they looked. I used to have that years ago and I couldnt help but be a slightly jealous. My eyes narrowed a little as I saw the guy pull a BG Nation flag out from behind his back while the girl covered her mouth jumping up and down before she tackled him. Someone was excited to get to meet Brantley. I got a couple pictures of them then headed back down the stairs to the side door that would take me to the back.

I hurried through the halls and stopped to snag a bottle of water before ducking into the room the VIP was being held in. I walked over to where PJ was propped against the back wall. He gave me a grin as I settled in beside him after taking a couple of quick pictures of the crowd.

"Shit," PJ muttered shaking his head as Brantley walked out on the small stage with Jesse waving at the crowd. Damn, why did he have to look so hot in just a simple black long sleeved t-shirt, jeans, chains, and Nikes. I had to tamp down a whimper at the sight of that ever present black hat turned around backwards.

"What?" I asked giving PJ a funny look wondering what the hell was wrong as he ran a hand down his face.

"I forgot to go get the Snickers," he said with a sigh. I rolled my eyes at him.

"He's a big boy now PJ," I muttered tugging the hair tie out of my hair and redoing my messy bun. "I'm sure he will be just fine without a candy bar."

"Allie Cat," PJ said looking at me in disbelief. "Have you forgotten just how pissy he can get. He gets down right hangry!"

"PJ stop calling me that," I growled as Jesse and Brantley got settled on their stools and discussed which song they were going to play. "Plus, he's been in a bad mood all day because of me. I think you are off the hook tonight big guy."

I turned my head back towards the front to listen as they started to play. As Brantley started to sing my eyes widened. I had been around since before the first album dropped so of course I had kept up with his music even though we were divorced. But this song, shit I wasn't expecting this one. I felt my cheeks turning red. I know the jackass isnt! I felt my lip lift in a snarl as his eyes met mine as he started to sing.

It's three in the morning

I haven't slept all night

I'm looking like a crazy fool sitting by this TV light

You lied to me baby

You lied to me good

The truth is I still love you

But I don't know if I should

And now each and every day

I'm trying to get away from the pain

And I go driving 90 down that old back road

Screaming curses at you woman

For all the lies that you told

And then I take one hand off the wheel

And I shake it at the sky

And then I slam the dashboard screaming, lie baby lie
