Allie's POV

I was checking through my equipment making sure I had everything I needed. Was a major drawback when I was on more than one tour but I liked how it kept me busy. My phone chimed on the table pulling my attention away from what I was doing. I glanced over to see it was a text from Brantley and couldn't wipe the wide grin off my face. I tapped the message opening it up to see a selfie from him on the Polaris out at the farm. I couldn't help but feel my heart skip a beat at the grin on his face and was a little proud of myself for being the reason for it.

What he didn't know was that I had been out to the farm with Kolby at the end of last year while he'd been up North on an elk hunt. His farm manager had wanted a few new photos for the website. I had been Kolby's first suggestion with Keith backing him. I had agreed with the only stipulation that Brantley didn't know. My jaw had literally dropped when I had pulled in at what he had done.

Something that had been an idea of his, he was making a reality. I was so damn proud of him. I typed out a quick reply to him and got back to checking the batteries for my camera when I heard a throat clear in front me making me jump. I looked up to see Justin standing there with a grin on his face that faded as I heard another throat clear behind me as a food box was sat beside me.

"Um... Allie Cat," Justin asked giving me a look that made me want to crack up. "Why in the world do you have PJ with you?"

"In case I need help hiding your body when you piss me off Moore," I grumbled opening up the box to see a salad inside before turning to give PJ a death glare. He quickly produced another bag that better have a loaded cheeseburger in it or someone was dead.

"I do not piss you off," Justin scoffed shaking his head poking his lip out in a pout.

"Yes you do," I heard beside me as I turned my head to accept a hug from Kate. I gave her a big hug. It had been forever since I had seen her with me being so busy. She threw an arm around my shoulders then pointed at Justin. "Remember last year in Nashville, your drunk ass brought up he who shall not be named and almost got nailed with a beer bottle."

An evil grin spread across Justin's lips as he looked at me and rubbed his chin. Aww shit, here we go.

"So Al," he drawled. "How had tour life been so far? I see y'all haven't killed each other yet."

"I'm telling you one time and one time only Justin," PJ growled from the stool he had pulled up. "Do not mess with my girl."

"Shit!" Justin yelped taking a step back from Allie holding his hands up. He looked over at PJ with a worried look. "Now, now PJ. I was asking a legit question. BG was alive and kicking when I talked to him the other day. So things must not be too bad."

"Shut up Justin," I snapped really wanting to just eat my burger not play the twenty questions routine about my ex......shit..hmmmm... what was he now? I felt my cheeks burning red as I saw Kate study me out of the corner of my eye.

"Hmmmm...." Kate said poking my blushing cheek with a wide grin. "Sounds to me like there is a story there. I saw the video of his karaoke performance. He should be a dead man walking right now. Or at least missing a few essential parts."

"We are being civil," I hissed through clenched teeth. I so did not want to talk about this. I could see PJ grinning. Come on PJ, please don't rat me out. Hopefully they would drop the subject. Nope that grin just got wider. I rubbed a hand across my face and groaned because I knew what was coming.

"If being civil is the lip lock he laid on you before we left last night," PJ said with a chuckle as Kate and Justin's jaws dropped. "Then I guess that is what y'all are being then."

"Dammit PJ!" I moaned as he started laughing. "You are supposed to be here for me! On my side not, Kate and Justin's! Wait until I tell Boss about this."

"Hold up Allie Cat," PJ said between laughs as I glared at him. "I am always here for you darlin. Always have been. But can you honestly tell me that anything I said wasn't true?"

I went to answer him with a smart ass comment but paused when my phone started ringing on the table. Shit! I could hear "Outlaw Women" playing loud and clear and not Hank's version. PJ started laughing harder as I felt my cheeks growing redder. I reached for it but Justin beat me to it hitting the answer button with a wide grin as he put it on speaker. That ass!

"Hello!" Justin said in a falsetto voice. I growled mentally plotting all the ways I was going to kill him.

"Baby girl," I heard Brantley's voice echo out. "You feeling okay. Your voice sounds a little off."

"Baby girl huh?" Justin asked cracking up. I heard a loud growl through the phone and smirked a little as Justin's eyes widened.

"Moore!" Brantley grumbled. "Put me damn wife on the phone."

"Ex-wife," we all chimed.

"You fucking know what I meant," Brantley complained with a sigh.

"No, BG," Justin said cocking a hip against the table. "I don't. So why don't you enlighten me buddy. Pretty sure the last time I checked you and Allie were divorced." I could hear him grumble some more and growl. Well Justin did have a point. "Don't you growl at me buddy. Don't you have papers and everything stating that."

"Papers........" Brantley drawled out making my eyes widen at the tone of his voice. "What papers? I don't have any papers."

"B......" I said narrowing my eyes. "I'll be sure to ask about that later." I kicked Justin hard in the shin as I grabbed my phone making him yelp. "Let me call you back after I kill him."

"Yes mam," he said with a chuckle.

"I knew it!" Justin said as I ended the call. He started doing a ridiculous happy dance making Kate groan. "Aldean owes me a thousand bucks! Told him y'all would either be fucking or fighting before the first leg of the tour was done. He had money on it at least being June."

My jaw dropped in shock for a moment, then I considered who we were discussing here. These jackasses would bet on anything! I took a step closer to Justin as he took a big step back turning pale. He cut his eyes over to PJ who was grinning then over to Kate who just shrugged at him. I stepped closer balling my fists up.

"PJ," Justin gasped. "Aren't you supposed to be watching her man? Grab her! She's got that BG look going on right now and its scary as shit!"

"I am man," PJ boomed holding his sides with laughter. "I'm about to watch her beat your ass. I've told you idiots y'all were gonna bet on the wrong thing one of these days."

Justin held his hands up in surrender backing away from me slowly as I pushed the sleeves of my hoodie up after sliding my phone in my pocket. He let out a big gulp and tried to give me a sweet smile.

"Now Allie......." He said sweetly.

"You better run Justin," I growled as he took off running with a yelp. I went to chase after him and stopped at Kate's voice.

"Hey Allie," she said between laughs. "Don't maim him too bad. I don't have time to train a replacement!"
