"Hi Jessica." Amelia heard for the lower level of her grandmother's house. The young girl was on her guest room bed coloring a picture she hoped to give to her mother.

"Amelia?" She heard someone say gently. There's a quiet knock on her door before it opens. Her grandmother comes in followed by a brunette that looks similar to her mother. Amelia looks questionably at the girl, wondering who she is.

"Hey sweetheart. This is your aunt, Jessica." Julie explains to her.

"Mommy never mentioned having any sisters." Amelia admits, realizing all the similarities her mother and Jessica had. Julie and Jessica looks at each other, confused as to why Jessica was never mentioned.

"Anyway, Jessica and I were wanting to take you to the zoo." Julie says gently.

"The zoo?" Amelia asks.

"Yeah, the place with all the animals. I'm guessing Melissa never took you with her busy schedule. So, do you want to go?" Julie asks. Amelia nods, getting excited about seeing all the animals. She especially wanted to see a dolphin. Melissa had given her a dolphin stuffed animal and ever since she's been addicted to dolphins.

"Great, let's go." Julie says, and starts out the door. Amelia shuts her coloring book and hopes off her bed. She follows Jessica out the door and they all head to the mud room. They all get their shoes on and head out to the car. Jessica helps Amelia into the portable car seat and they drive off.

"Do you have any nicknames Amelia?" Jessica asks.

"Mommy calls me Amy." Amelia answers softly. She knew Jessica was just trying to get to know her (after all, they were family), but she still felt uncomfortable around her.

"Amy." Jessica repeats. "That's cute." A small smile spread across Amelia's face. She appreciated the complement.

"What's your favorite color Amy?" Jessica asks.

"Mommy says it's called peach, but I say it's a light orange." Amelia explains. She didn't really like the color pink. In school people say she was weird because she didn't like 'girly' things. She did like shopping, but she didn't like playing with barbies. She enjoyed playing with linking logs and legos. She liked creating things.

"We're here." Julie says. Amelia patiently waits for someone to help her out of the car. Julie come over to her side and picks her up. She shuts the door and sets Amelia on the ground.

"What do you want to see first Amy?" Jessica asks. Amelia still didn't truly trust Jessica yet but Julie seemed so happy with her. Amelia shrugs.

"Do you want to see the lions?" Jessica asks. Amelia nods. Lions are on one of the shows Melissa watches and she always seen them fascinating.

...

"Hello Mr. Bear." Amelia says as they walk up to the bear exhibit. They had left the lion exhibit a few minutes ago and Amelia wanted to stop by the bears. Amelia walks up to the glass and the bear encaged swims up to her as if to say 'hi'. Amelia puts her hands on the glass.

"I'll name you Baloo because you're very nice." Amelia says. Julie quickly takes out her phone and takes a picture of Amelia.

"Look for the bare necessities

"Look for the bare necessities. The simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your strife. I mean the bare necessities." Amelia sings quietly. Amelia had watch The Jungle Book with Melissa and fell in love with it.

"Grandma, why doesn't Baloo have a friend?" Amelia asks turning to look and her grandmother and aunt.

"I don't know, love." Julie replies to her.

"I think Baloo needs a friend. Everyone deserves a friend." Amelia says.

"Amy, it's time to go." Julie says, placing her hand on Amelia's shoulder. Amelia sighs looking at Baloo.

"Bye Baloo. I'll miss you." Amelia says waving to the bear. She walks away with Julie and Jessica, waving to her new found friend.
