Today was the day. Melissa had just got her hair done and she was now nervously driving to Chyler's house. Chyler had promised to watch the girls and help Melissa into her dress.
Melissa and Chris had chosen to get married by a beach. With being back in LA, it made their decision a lot more achievable. They had gone with a vintage rustic theme just like Melissa thought they would. With Jeremy, Katie, Odette, and Chyler's help, they had gotten the decorations all set up in time. Melissa thought it looked truly beautiful.
As Melissa pulled up to Chyler's house, she could could see Amelia and Leah playing outside in their dresses. Melissa quickly got out of the car and walked over to them.
"Girls! Don't get your dresses dirty before the wedding. At least keep them clean until after." Melissa scolds. Both girls stop and walk with their mother to the door.
"Sorry Mommy." Amelia says.
"It's okay." Melissa says walking into Chyler's house. Melissa told the girls to sit and watch TV until they're done. They listen and go turn on the TV. Melissa walks into the kitchen and is met by Chyler.
"There's my favorite bride." Chyler says, walking to her best friend and giving her a hug. "You look amazing." Chyler says causing Melissa to smile. Chyler walks over to Melissa's dress and unzips the back.
"You nervous?" Chyler asks Melissa. Melissa nods stepping into the dress.
"It's feels weird. I shouldn't be nervous for today." Melissa says.
"It's normal to be nervous. I was terrified on my wedding day." Chyler explains. Melissa finishes getting her dress on before slipping into her white heels. She walks into the living room to retrieve Amelia and Leah. Amelia looks over to her mother in awe.
"You look like a princess Mommy." She says making Leah glance over.
"Yeah, you look like Cinderella."
...
"Hey sweetheart." Melissa's father, Jim, says.
"Hi Dad." Melissa says giving him a hug.
"Look at you! You're all grown up. You're not my little girl anymore." He says, admiring his daughter.
"I still love you as much as I did before." Melissa says. Melissa and Jim stand in silence for a few minutes before Chyler comes in to tell them it's time to start.
"You ready?" Jim asks, grabbing Melissa's hand.
"It's now or never." Melissa says. They begin to walk to the aisle and towards Chris who was looking at Melissa as if she was the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Rose petals laid on the path from Amelia and Leah, who were smiling at their mother proudly. Everyone watched in awe as the beautiful bride walked down the aisle. They reach the end of the walkway and Jim kisses Melissa's head and walks off. Melissa takes a deep breath and walks up to Chris.
"You look beautiful." Chris says, smiling at his bride. Melissa blushes slightly before the priest starts speaking.
"Today, we are here to celebrate the marriage of Melissa Benoist and Christopher Wood. If anyone objects, please speak now or forever hold your peace." The whole room stays quiet. The priest takes this as a signal to continue.
"Christopher, you may say your vows." Chris takes a deep breath before speaking.
"From this moment, I take you to be my best friend for life. I pledge to honor, encourage, and support your through our walk together. When our way becomes difficult, I promise to stand by you and uplift you, so that through our union we can accomplish more than we could alone. I promise to work at our love and always make you a priority in my life. With every beat of my heart, I promise to always love you." As Chris finishes, Melissa finds herself tearing up.
"Melissa, you may now say your vows." The priest says.
"Chris, I choose you, to be no other than yourself, loving what I know of you, and trusting who you will become. I will respect and honor you always and in all ways. I take you to be my husband. To have and to hold, in tears and in laughter, from this day forward in this world and the next."
"Christopher, do you take Melissa Benoist to be your wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to cherish and to hold until death do you part?" The priest asks.
"I do." Those to simple words send a wave of emotion Melissa's way.
Melissa, do you take Christopher Wood to be your husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to cherish and to hold until death do you part?"
"I do."
"With the power invested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Chris leans forward and kisses Melissa. The whole area erupts in cheers and clapping.
"I love you." Chris says to Melissa.
"I love you more." Melissa says back.
