Chapter 3

Jack's POV

"I'd love to... if it's okay." She tells me, then starts leaning towards me. I smile and touch her cheek. Our lips are soon touching.

Emilia's POV

I start to lean towards Jack, not knowing whether he would stop me. He put his hand on my cheek, and then we kissed. I pulled Jack on top of me, kissing him passionately. We kissed for what seems like forever, but in reality, it was only 5 minutes. The only reason we stopped was that Corbitch and the boys, except Jonah, decided to walk in on us.

Corbyn's POV

I'm talking to the boys downstairs when we get into a convo on new tracks that we might release. I offer to go grab Jack, so we can continue our conversation as a band. I walk upstairs and hear noises coming from Jack's room. I run back downstairs and grab everyone. I tell them to go upstairs and be quiet. They hear exactly what I heard, but they decide to take it a step further, by walking in on Jack and Emilia. At least they were only kissing I guess.

Jacks POV

I push Emilia off me and turn to look at the boys. "What the fuck, guys!" I yell at them "You could have knocked." I looked at Emilia to see that her face had turned a fiery shade of red. "Sorry, but you could have locked the door, Jack" Zach says to me. Emilia slowly moved away and tucked her knees into her arms. I could tell that the boys could sense her pain and embarrassment. "I'm going to go get some water" She tells us, leaving the room and running downstairs. Once she had left, Corbyn said "Damnnn Jack was gonna smash Emilia." I stare him down and frown "I wasn't planning on it.." I tell him, blushing. "We're not even dating, I'm not even sure if she likes me in that way." Corbyn looks at me "It looks like she likes you in that way."

Emilia's POV

The boys had to walk in, didn't they? I go downstairs to get a bottle of water and calm down. Jonah walks into the room and looks confused. "Why's your face bright red?" He asks me, coming over to the kitchen. "Don't worry." I tell him, as I don't need the whole house knowing what just happened. I go back upstairs to see Jack talking to the boys. I walk in and grab a towel. "I'm having a shower." I tell them. Jack looks annoyed at the boys, but nods at me and continues his chat with the boys. I go to the bathroom and undress. I hop into the shower and turn it on, then wash my hair. I grab a towel and wrap it around me, then go back to mine and Jack's room. When the boys notice I've entered the room, they say something to Jack, then leave. I go into the closet and grab an oversized sweatshirt. "I'm sorry, Emilia." Jack tells me, walking over, clearly embarrassed. "It's fine, really Jack." I tell him "I'm gonna go down and play GTA with the boys, you coming?" Jack nods and follows me down the stairs.

Jack's POV

I and Emilia go downstairs to play Xbox with the boys. They look very uncomfortable sitting there. "I'm not pissed at y'all" Emilia tells them "It was just... embarrassing." I nod to agree. After she says this, the boys relax and we all have fun playing GTA. Emilia manages to beat all of us, which annoyed Corbyn as he says that he's 'unbeatable'. Emilia walks off with her phone and calls someone. When she comes back, her face is stained with tears. She wipes them off and sits back down. "What's wrong?" I ask her, concerned.

Emilia's POV

I get a text from Lilly, telling me that Hanna's dog Satsuki had died. I ring Hanna straight away. She tells me she's fine, but I can tell in her voice that she's not. When I hang up, I start crying. I have so many memories of that dog, no one would understand except Lilly and Hanna. I walk back to the boys, wipe my eyes and sit down. "What's wrong?" Jack asks me, looking at me in the eyes. The other boys now turn to look at me also. "It's nothing really." I reply, sniffing. I know it's not nothing, but I don't want to involve more people in this situation. He can tell I'm lying but decides to leave me be for the moment. The others go back to gaming and yelling at each other and the screen. I fall asleep, lying next to Corbyn, with my head resting on Jack's stomach.

Jack's POV

Emilia falls asleep with her head resting on me. The boys continue gaming for hours after I decide to retire, taking Emilia up to bed with me. The boys start making 'ooohhhh' noises, but I say "shut up, we're not a couple, we're just friends.". I put her down on the bed, then I sit down next to her. I read a book for a while, then finally fall asleep around 2 am.

*Next morning*

My alarm goes off, waking me and Emilia wake up at noon. We get up, then she goes and has a shower. I walk in while she's doing her make up "You don't need that to look beautiful." I tell her, smiling. She looks up at me and laughs "Stop flirting Mr. Avery." I smile and leave the room to grab breakfast. I can tell that she's sorta onto me having a small crush on her. When I get downstairs I can hear the boys talking about Emilia. "I mean she's hot I guess." Zach says, whilst pouring a glass of orange juice. "Yeah but you can tell she's not ready to be in a relationship yet." Jonah adds on. I can't help but feel a bit betrayed as my best friends are talking behind my back. I walk into the kitchen "Where's Emilia?" Corbyn asks me, I guess hoping that I didn't just hear all of what the boys just said. "She's just doing her makeup in the bathroom." I tell them. "Oh, and I know that you're trying to cover it up, but I heard everything that you just said. "We're not gonna take her from you J, promise, we only said that she was hot." Zach says.

Emilia's POV

I walk downstairs and hear Zach say, "We're not gonna take her from you J, promise, we only said that she was hot." I could tell that this conversation was about to get heated, and not in a good way. Jack walks towards Zach and yells "Leave Emilia the fuck alone!" I walk towards Jack and calm him down. "It's fine Jack, everything's okay." I ask the boys to leave Jack alone for the moment, until he has calmed down fully, and is in a better state to talk to them.

"I'm so sorry, Emilia, I overreacted." He tells me, disappointed in himself.

"It's okay Jack, it doesn't matter. I take him over to the couch, sit him down and watch an episode of Stranger Things. The boys come in and apologize profusely to Jack. Corbyn and Daniel come and sit with us, while Zach and Jonah go outside and sit in the sun. Soon enough, it gets too hot inside, so we go and change into swimming stuff, and go outside to the pool. I sit out on one of the chairs to tan, while the boys go for a swim.
