Chapter 26

Emilia's POV
An airport in Italy

We arrive in Italy and I already feel as if something is wrong. The others keep whispering to each other and are keeping a slight distance from me. It makes me feel left out like they all have a secret that they're excluding me from. We get to the hotel and go up to our rooms to unpack. The concert is tomorrow night, so we have the entire day to explore. "Why are you whispering to the others all the time?" I ask Jack. He's staring at me with a vacant look on his face. He shakes his head "What?" he asks, frowning. I roll my eyes at him "Never mind" I say, then start packing a bag to go out. I remember to pack my camera, so I can hopefully take some good photos while we're here. Jack keeps looking at me for long periods of time. It feels like he's staring into my soul.

We spend the whole day looking around and buying random items. For lunch, we go to a small café and order pizza, because why wouldn't we? We're in Italy after all. I eat a slice, then have a salad with some baguette. We spend hours walking around shops in the afternoon, looking at expensive clothes that I'd never be able to afford. I see a stunning dress, but the price tag just makes my eyes water. "Go try it on" I hear a voice say from behind me. I turn around to see Jack standing behind me smiling. I nod my head "Alright then" I tell him, then walk off to a curtained room. I take Christina with me to help get the dress on, as it's quite extravagant. I look in the mirror and stare at myself for five minutes. "You look fabulous" Christina tells me with a smile plastered on her face. "Thanks Christina" I reply, then hug her. When I walk out of the dressing room, the boys' jaws drop. No one says a single word for a few minutes. "I-you look amazing Em" Jack says. "You need to buy that" Dani tells me. I shake my head "I can't buy it" I reply. "Why not?" Everyone says in unison. "As much as I'd love to, it's expensive" I tell them, then walk back in and change back into my clothes. I walk out, then put the dress back up on the rail. Jack is buying a few things from the shop, so he tells us that he'd meet us back at the hotel soon. I go to Corbyn and Christina's room to watch a movie, as Jack said he'd be a while. Over halfway through the movie, I get a text from Jack.

Jacky Noodle😍: Go to our room, I left you something❤️

Em💖: I'm intrigued, what is it?

Jacky Noodle😍: You'll have to go to find out

Em💖: Fine, I'll drag myself down the corridor to find out

"I'm going to my room, Jack said he left me something" I tell Corbyn and Christina. They look at each other and smirk "Cool, see you later" They say as I leave. I walk down to my room and open the door. Jack isn't in there, which surprises me. I walk over to the bed, where a giant box, a small box, and a letter are sitting. I open the letter first.

To Em,

You're probably reading this thinking 'Where the hell is Jack and what is in the boxes?" Well, I'm in Daniel's room if you want me, and you'll have to open the boxes to find out. We're going out for a fancy dinner later, so dress up nicely. We're leaving at seven thirty, so I'll meet you in the lobby. I hope you like the gifts.

I smile as I read the letter, then I put it down and pick up the smaller box. I look inside to see a gold necklace with a heart on it. I don't put it on as I'm already wearing a necklace, but I'll wear it to the meal tonight. I now move onto the big box. I open it to find the dress that I tried on earlier. Tears start streaming down my face. I wanted this so bad, but Jack shouldn't have got it for me.
