Tord's POV

I hoisted myself onto the base's helipad, where a battered, but functional plane was waiting for me. Paul and Patryk stood beside the entrance, trying their absolute best not to show their excitement about being allowed to fly a plane again. Fritz stood near them with Valkyrie and Tyr at his side, a grin on his face. He motioned towards the horde of soldiers that were standing motionless a few meters from the plane. I sighed and began my small speech.
"Soldiers!" At the yell the men flinched and saluted. I grinned and continued, "As many of you have been informed, I, your Red Leader, will be leaving the base in hopes of recovering full use of my injured arm." I motion towards Fritz to come to my side. He jogs to me like a dog being given a treat.
I put my hand on his shoulder and turn towards the soldiers.
"Fritz will be in charge while I am away, I hope you all treat him with just as much respect as you do to me."
A few groans of soldiers familiarized with Fritz escape from the group. I chuckled and head toqards the plane, taking Valkyrie and Tyr's leash's from Fritz.
"Red Leader!!" I turn to the red head as he calls. He proudly juts out his chin and salutes. "Long live the Red Leader!!!"
"Long live the Red Leader!!!"
"Long live the Red Leader!!!"
"Long live the Red Leader!!!"
I turn with surprise at the crowd, following Fritz's cheesy farewell. I laugh and salute one last time.
"Red Leader, it is time to board the plane." I hear Paul say behind me. I turn away and pull myself onto the plane, with my drowsy cats behind me.
"Oi, Red." Pat calls out from the pilots room. He peeks his head out.
"What now?"
"Due to the time we will be spending over there with the surgeon, me and Paul rented a small apartment to seem normal to civilians."
"Its near the surgeon so we should be fine if an emergency comes up!!" Paul yells over Patryk. The two then begin bickering over basic flight rules as I slowly sink into the seat, falling into a deep sleep after so many nights of insomnia and nightmares.
