After I grabbed my blanket I waited in the kitchen until I saw Mike jump the fence again. I grabbed my phone and left for the porch. "Hey" I said. He looked up and me. "Hey" He guided me to the couch and we sat down. "You cold?" He lightly chuckled. "Yeah" I laughed. He put his arm around me and I put my head on his shoulder. "Did those idiots hurt you guys when we left?" I asked. "They just laughed and called us names, like I told you earlier. They didn't physically hurt us. We're used to it anyways. We've been through worse" I looked up at him and kissed his jaw line. "You guys don't deserve this. You're too nice" He smiled and kissed the top of my head. "hey, you know tomorrow is a fancy thing right?" He asked. "Yep. Don't worry, we already all have nice dresses" I smiled. He chuckled. "Good. I just don't want you guys to feel different when everyone else is dressed fancy and you guys may be in jeans"

I chuckled. "Don't worry love" I said. He smiled down at me. His phone vibrated so he took it out of his pocket and checked it. "It's just Nancy. She asked where I went. Should I say I just went for a walk?" He asked. I nodded. He quickly responded that and put his phone back in his pocket. I took my shivering hand and moved his face to look at mine. He looked confused but he smiled at me. I gently laid my lips onto his in a sweet kiss. He kissed back right away. He pulled me into him and made me sit on his lap. He broke the kiss for a second then moved his lips to my jaw, then my neck, then my collar bones. "Mike" I slightly moaned. He looked up at me. "Did I hurt you?" He worried. I laughed. "No, I just don't want you to leave a hickey" He laughed. "Oh yeah, that's true" He laughed.

I put my head in the crook on his neck. One of his hands were around my waist and the other was on the back of my thigh. "You're a lot more confident with me than with anyone else. You're not the same person you were when we first me. Why?" I asked. He sighed. "I don't know. Before I met you I was always the shy awkward kid. I really had nothing to do with my life than by D & D with the guys. But after I met you, something clicked in me. I don't know how, but I felt like I had to protect you. When ever i'm with you I feel like I have to protect you from something. I feel like I have to protect everyone now. I'm a lot more confident one on one with you because, I guess, I really like you. I don't want you to think i'm weak or awkward. You make me see a side of myself I've never seen before. Like, with El, it was one kiss. But with you, I can't seem to stop kissing you. Actually, kissing you on the neck was the most I've ever gone with someone before" He admitted.

I smiled at him and pecked his lips. "You're amazing. I'm so happy I met you" I said. He smiled and kissed my forehead. "I don't want to lose you Kaysie" He looked so sad. "You won't lose me Mike. I won't leave you" I kissed him softly. He smiled into the kiss and we broke our lips apart. "I have to go back home before my mom notices i'm gone" He said. I got off his lap and stood up, him soon following.  "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" He said. I nodded and he kiss my lips softly and quickly. "Bye Mike" I said. He smiled at me. "Bye Kaysie" He went to the fence to jump it again to get to his house. I made sure he got over it okay before I went back inside. When I walked inside Ginger ran up to me and started to lick my legs. I knelled and pet her all over, even rubbed her belly.

I got back up and walked to my room. I laid down in my bed and stared out my window. That was until  big force jumped on my bed. I looked over and saw Harlem had jumped on my bed. I turned over to face him and he licked my cheek. I smiled and shut my eyes. I laid my back on the bed and put my blanket on me. He laid his head on my stomach and soon fell a sleep with me.
