We had planned that afternoon for the next day.
When time for school rolled around operation: fake boyfriend was a go.
I arrived at the school early in the morning.
Even before some of the faculty arrived.
I charmed my way into the back of the main office, where the files were kept.
When no one was looking, and by no one I mean the one administrator that was working the main office, I used her unlocked computer to print out information about Peter Parker.
The papers had everything I needed.
From his class schedule to his locker combination, to even his home address.
I shook my head as I exited out of the computer window and collected the papers, shoving them into my school jacket pocket.
Midtown High put the 'con' in confidential.
I waved goodbye to the administrator, giving her one of my dazzling smiles.
Then I walked to my stakeout spot.
Peter Parker was literally one of the last people to arrive at school.
I had been standing at his locker for so long that I almost fell asleep leaning against it.
Most of my classmates stared at me as they walked by.
Probably wondering what I was doing.
To be honest I wasn't sure myself, but I had to pretend that I was.
The look on his face was priceless when he noticed me standing by his locker.
He approached me slowly.
So slow that I grew impatient and walked towards him to meet half way.
"Peter Parker. Just the man I was hoping to see," I voice out to him.
I could visually see him gulp.
He was clearly nervous, but I think confusion won over.
"Um, (Y/N), what do you want?" He asks.
It seemed like he was trying not to be rude, knowing that he didn't want to be on my bad side.
He continued on to his locker but his eyes kept flickering over to me.
His locker opened with ease.
"Look, if you want someone to do your homework or something like that you've got the wrong guy," he warns timidly.
The topic of grades hits me hard but he doesn't seem to notice.
"No, I don't need that," I clarify.
Josh walking down the hall, hand in hand with Amber captures my attention.
Just as Peter shuts his locker door with his arm leaning against the metal, I take the chance to slide in between his body and the lockers.
His eyes widen at my sudden movement.
I place my hand on his shoulder and rub it down his arm.
"I have a proposal for you, an opportunity of a lifetime if you will," my words come out smooth and I try to keep my facial expression flirtatious.
Peter freezes.
Just like I had expected.
No clue when it comes to girls.
Great.
"That is if you'll take it," I bat my eyelashes as I wrap my fingers lightly around his forearm.
He opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out.
A smirk comes to my face when Josh walks by, staring at Peter and I just like I had hoped.
He hides his emotions very well though.
I couldn't tell if he was upset, shocked, or jealous.
Peter turned to see what I was looking at and realized immediately what I was trying to do.
He pulled his arm away from me.
"No," he says and starts walking away.
"No?" I repeat with disgust and shock.
His friend from lunch met up with him, looking at me.
"What did she want?" His lips read as he walks next to Peter.
They both turned away from me so I wasn't able to make out what they were saying.
Oh, there was no way in hell that nerd boy was going to reject me.
