Gym class was the only class that (Y/N) and Peter shared. Neither were particularly great at it. Mostly because they would never want to draw too much attention to themselves. They did as they were instructed to do. No more, no less, no special attention.

Then one day, (Y/N) was coaxed into join an arm wrestling competition between the boys and girls. One of her 'friends' had already beaten a couple people. Feeling confident, she challenged (Y/N).

(Y/N) almost declined. Almost. But something inside her told her it wouldn't hurt to go against one person, especially if it was just her 'friend'. It would go by quick.

She sat down on one of the chairs that the kids had set up along with a desk. All probably stolen from a classroom.

One person turned into two, then 5, then 10.

(Y/N) was now on a winning streak, beating boys and girls left and right.

It was then that Peter and Ned walked up to see what all the commotion was about. (Y/N) was arm wrestling one of the more athletic boys. Slowly she was pushing the boy's arm towards the desk top.

She hadn't even been really trying and she had beaten the boy just like all the others. Everyone cheered and the boy let out an angered groan.

Peter looked at the girl sitting on the chair. She didn't seem as excited as everyone else. In fact she kind of looked bored. Like this was nothing to her.

"She's really good," Ned said to Peter.

Peter nodded in agreement.

"Penis Parker!" Flashes voice boomed in throughout the gym, causing Peter's head to snap in his direction.

(Y/N) followed Flash's gaze to a brunette boy that she had seen around school. His eyes were wide in an uncertain shock.

"You should try to go against (Y/N). Maybe by some miracle you'll beat her" Flash said condescendingly.

Peter started shaking his head, opening his mouth to say something. Being Flash's target one too many times still hadn't taught him what to do in these kind of situations.

"I don't—" He started.

"And why not?" Flash asked, not letting him finish, with arms crossed.

Everyone was watching the exchange carefully. Including (Y/N), who didn't know why Flash was picking on this boy, but honestly didn't care.

"Because he's afraid to lose to a girl," Michelle spoke out without lifting her eyes up from her book.

"I am not," Peter says defensively.

Flash chuckled. "For once I think one of your dork friends has a point," he states, amused.

"I'm not afraid," Peter states again trying to stand his ground.

"Then do it," Flash entices him, gesturing with his arm towards the desk.

Peter thought for a moment then started taking off his sweatshirt.

"Dude, what are you doing. You can't use super strength on her," Ned says, whispering the last part.

Peter looked at his friend. "I won't need to. I'll just try enough to beat her," he says. He passes the sweatshirt to Ned and sits down.

(Y/N) stared at her new opponent, placing her elbow on the table.

Peter followed her lead. He set his elbow down. She's the one to grasp his hand. His cheeks slightly tinted red.

"3, 2, 1, go," someone counts down.

(Y/N) pushes his arm in a jolt.

Peter was surprised at her sudden burst of strength. More than he had anticipated. He quickly recovered.

Both kept it even, applying more and more pressure.

Once (Y/N) realized she was going beyond the normal human capabilities, her eyes widened. They met with Peter's.

At this point both of their arms were shaking from the pressure. Their knuckles were white and they could feel the fingers of the other person dig into their skin.

Peter almost forgot about everyone watching. This girl, his classmate, was as strong as he was. He wanted to know exactly how strong.

He tapped more into his Spidey strength pushing her arm further down.

(Y/N) was similar in thinking. She continued the same amount of strength, seeing how much more he could go. Her eyes narrowed at his.

He kept pushing her arm down. And to everyone else it looked like he was going to win.

But (Y/N) hadn't used her entire strength yet. She dialed her strength up a couple notches, taking over easily.

Peter tried to push back but he couldn't. His hand hit the desk top.

She was stronger than him.

Their hands let go and everyone cheered for (Y/N) but she didn't pay attention.

Instead she looked down at her hand to see indented marks of his fingers left behind.

Peter did the same as he walked over to Ned.

"Dude, what happened?" Ned asked, incredulous.

Peter shook his head. Almost too shocked to speak.

"She's stronger than me," he stated simply.

Ned's eyes widened.

Peter looked over at (Y/N), who was looking over at him. And at that moment the same thought went through their heads.
