Peter Parker's ears would perk up with even the mere mention of Spider-Man's name.

He was always curious as to what people thought of his alter ego.

Whether it was criticism or praise, it was important for him to listen.

But when (Y/N) walked into chemistry class it wasn't her words that caught Peter's attention but rather the papers in her hand.

The familiar local superhero's masked face sketched on one of them.

(Y/N) was someone that only recently had sparked Peter's interest.

He used to not notice her as much.

Sure she was a pretty and smart girl, but Peter had preferred another girl over her.

As for (Y/N), Peter was never on her mind.

Always just being that boy that she had some classes with.

Nothing more.

It wasn't until one fateful incident that brought these two together.

The night of the incident had been a colder one.

(Y/N) clutched onto her jacket as she walked the dark streets at night.

Her friend ditching her at the library and a dead phone battery had forced the young lady to embark on this semi dangerous journey.

(Y/N) walked quickly, passing creepy alleyways and making no eye contact.

She was three quarters of the way to the apartment when she was stopped.

An older looking man approached her asking for money.

The girl was quick to say no and tried to continue on her route.

But the man was persistent.

Accusing (Y/N) of having money that she insisted on not having.
The man didn't hesitate to grab onto (Y/N)'s wrist when she tried to walk away.

Her pleads to the man were heard by Peter during his night patrol.

He swung down to the ground telling the man to leave the girl alone.

The man didn't listen to the hero and challenged him instead.

Other men walked around the corner bearing knives and other weapon-like objects.
