Peter's girlfriend, Y/N L/N, wasn't a lot of things. She wasn't the smartest or the strongest. Or even the nicest, she definitely had her bitchy moments. And she wasn't the prettiest, although Peter would disagree on that point. She also wasn't the most powerful. In fact, unlike her boyfriend, she had no superpowers whatsoever. The one thing she was, the one thing that nobody could argue, was gutsy.

Which probably was the reason why she didn't think twice about saving her superhero spider boyfriend's ass herself. When Ned told Y/N why Peter hadn't shown up for their date, that he had gone off to fight some villain, she was way more than pissed. She was infuriated that Peter had missed, yet again, another date. Especially on a day like today.

After, physically, forcing Ned to tell her where Peter was, on top of the Empire State Building (how original), Y/N stomped her way over to central Manhattan. Now she was climbing up a ladder in the pouring rain to get to the top.

"Just for once I want to have a peaceful date night," Y/N complained to herself, "why couldn't Peter be a cashier or an actual intern for Stark or literally ANYTHING ELSE?!" Her scream was loud but seemed to be subdued by the roar of the rain.

She reached the top shortly, presented with Peter in his suit but restricted to a metal rod and an evil looking man pacing in front of him. Y/N didn't have any fear in walking up to them.

"I'll hunt down and kill everyone you lov—" the evil man's dark voice was cut short. "Are you fucking kidding me?! You couldn't just take one night off?!" Her voice rose with every step she took. Peter's head shot up, eyes wide in shock. "What are you doing here?"

"Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Who is she?" The evil guy backs up slightly, surprised by the unexpected party guest. "Y/N please, just go back down. I have this under control," Peter pleaded. His face was unmasked and covered in blood and bruises. A sight that would've drawn Y/N to tears if her own blood had not been boiling in anger. "Under control?" Y/N questions in disgust, "Peter, you're tied up to a metal rod during a lightning storm. YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS UNDER FUCKING CONTROL!"

The villain cringed at the loud decibel of her voice. He pulled out a knife and directly faced her. "Okay, Miss, I don't know who the hell you are but you are going to leave now or you're going to find out the true meaning of pain." The threat was meant to be menacing but Y/N didn't even care.

"Pain?" She questions lowly, taking short steps towards the villain. "I just climbed up 86 flights of stairs in two-inch heels. You don't even know." The noise of the storm caused her to raise her voice at the end. "So what is it that you want? Money? Destroy the city? Take over the world?" Y/N asked the evil man.
