"So what's your deal?" You asked the boy when the teacher was talking to some students in the front.

Both you and the new kid sat in the back this time.

"My deal?" He questions.

"Yeah, it's the middle of the school year and you got in. It seems a little weird to me," you explain.

And you would never say it but he didn't seem to be at the same level, mentally, as the rest of the students.

Not dumb but just not genius level.

"Do you want to know my secret?" He asks you quietly leaning closer to you.

"Okay?" It came out more like a question than you had intended it to.

What was this boy going to tell you?

He leaned even closer.

"I'm Spider-Man," he whispers in a British accent.

You scoff and shake your head.

"You are not Spider-man. You're crazy," you tell him.

Was this some sort of prank?

"No, I'm actually a British actor and I'm playing Spider-Man in the new Marvel movie," Tom says seriously.

You just shake your head. "Yeah, sure, alright," you say sarcastically.

Tom just sighs, knowing there would be no way to convince you.

You looked over at the new boy, not sure what to think about him.

He was weird, and possibly delusional, but he was also nice and cute.

You just pay your attention back to the teacher.
