I finally reached the top of the stairs and push the door open.

Why did there have to be so many steps?

The light blinded my eyes for a few seconds. My hand instinctively raises to block out the sun.

My focus goes to something floating in the sky. A large technological ring. A ship, possibly.

"Holy shit," the words come out in a muttered tone.

The wind picks up, causing my hair to fly all over the place.

A figure moves in the corner of my eye. I gasp as I turn but relax when I realize it's just Peter.

He was already suited up in the new one that Tony gave him. Along with his school jacket.

We both take short steps towards each other until we were faced in front of another.

My eyes gaze on the new spider emblem on his chest and work their way up to his mask covered face.

"Do you have to go?" I ask him. My voice was quiet and surprisingly calm given the situation.

His hands go to his head, removing the mask. His curly brown hair was all messy, his cheeks flushed. He looks down to the ground as he nods his head.

"They're going to need all the help they can get," he says.

"You're one of them now? An Avenger?" I question, pointing out the only positive thing about all of this.

His warm brown eyes meet mine.

A small smile goes across his lips but doesn't reach his eyes.

"I guess I am," his tone was trying so hard to be playful.

"Can you do me a favor?" I ask seriously.

His smile falters and his eyes search my face to get a clue of what I would ask for.

"Anything," he says confidently.

"Don't get killed," I tell him.

My heart sinks when he doesn't answer.

He just gives me a pained look. His hand goes up to my cheek and he pulls me in for a kiss.

It was sorrowful and desperate.

Like it was going to be our last.

I grab the sides of his jacket to pull him closer. His arm wraps around me, pulling away from the kiss.

Both of our eyes open, a shared sad glance goes between the two of us.

He leans down to give me one last peck.

"Underoos!" Tony's voice startles the both of us, "quit smacking it up with your girlfriend! There's a universe that needs saving!"

Always the perfect timing Tony. Always the perfect timing.

I turn to look at Tony, also already in his suit, hovering in the air.

"Let's go," He hurries Peter, "and you. Happy is waiting downstairs to take you to a safe place. Pepper and May will be there." I nod my head.

"Just one second Mr.Stark," Peter yells out to him. He quickly takes off his jacket, putting it on me.

"Take this," he tells me and I slide my arms in.

He goes in to hug me. I wrap my arms tightly around him. "Comms are open," he whispers in my ear.

When he moves back I give him a confused look.

He doesn't bother explaining, just puts his mask back on to go join Tony.

"You stay safe," Tony tells me. Meaning; don't do anything stupid.

"You too!" I call out, "both of you."

With those last words they left.
Tony flying away and Peter swinging.

"Godspeed," I mutter under my breath.

The wind picks up and I shove my hands into the pockets of Peter's jacket.

My hands freeze when I feel something in both pockets. I slowly pull them out.

In one hand was the mask of Peter's old suit and in the other was one of his original web shooters.

My eyes snapped up at the direction they went but he was long gone.

Thank you, Peter.

I shove both items in the pockets and close the jacket.

I then turn on my heel to the door, opening it and shutting it behind me.
