It had been quite some time since Tom had been home. Walking into his old house was an unreal feeling after being in all the different places while filming and doing press tours. Settling in was also odd, getting adjusted to being in his old room.
And although a lot was the same, something, or more specifically someone, was different, and caught his attention.
"Who's that?" Tom asked out loud one day after going out with Harrison. His eyes gazed upon the seemingly beautiful girl hunched over the dinning room table, next to Paddy, concentrating intently at the papers in front of her.
Both Sam and Harry look up from the tv and over to where their brother was looking.
"Oh, that's Paddy's new tutor," Harry says, nonchalantly.
Tom continued to stare at the girl, or more so young woman, since she appeared to be not that much younger than himself. Harrison looked from his best friend, to the girl, than back to his best friend. A smirked pulled at his lips. He knew that look.
"She's awfully pretty," Tom pointed out. His two brothers peered up at him. "Yeah, we know," Harry said like it was obvious. "How old is she?" Tom asked quickly, wanting to know. Harry and Sam knew where this was going.
"20," Sam answers, "Don't even bother. Harry tried. She wasn't exactly into the idea." He suppressed a laugh at the thought of his brother getting rejected. Harry just rolled his eyes.
A frown came across Tom's face. "Boyfriend?" He questioned. "No," Sam said while laughing and shaking his head. Harry hit him with a pillow. "Mum told me to knock it off, because apparently I was going to 'scare her off'." Harry explained.
"Knowing Tom he'll still go after her," Harrison remarks with a chuckle. He hits his friend on the shoulder. "Okay," Tom said taking the hit, raising his hands up while smiling.
"I wouldn't if I were you," Sam warned, "Paddy has a huge thing for her."
Tom glanced back at the table, watching as his little brother stared at the girl as she was explaining something to him. Clearly he wasn't paying attention to anything she was saying. Instead, he was admiring her beauty.
"He was already pretty upset when Harry tried," Sam continued, "If you went after her, Tom—"
"I know" Tom nodded his head in understanding. "He really likes this girl though. Awhile ago he accidentally admitted to me that he could 'spend hours just watching her brush her hair'," Harry says.
