"She's our new maid, now you don't have to work a little all you have to do is take rest and eat well" he said while pointing towards a woman, who was looking in her mid thirties wearing long knee length top and tights underneath it. Her hair was packed up in a bun.
"Mrs. Hailey you go and make some soup for her." He ordered her and she just nodded her head and headed towards kitchen.
I was just staring at front of me with emotionaless face, a gasp leave my mouth as he carried me in his arms and go to our room, I felt total numb who can't do anything, he gently laid me down on bed and covered me with duvet.
He go to the restroom to freshn up, I guess I close my eyes to sleep because sleep is the only way to get rid of these thoughts which making my heart to ache.
I signed loudly and place my hand on my ears as still Caden's voice was ringing in my ears, I closed my eyes more tightly, and bit my lower lip in order to stop my tears but I couldn't ,they roll down and soaked to the pillow. I wiped them and console myself again as I didn't hear him out till now.
The door knob turn round and he came out, without even glancing at me he go out of the room. Is he suppose to be like this? I sat back, resting my head on headboard taking deep breaths.
The door knob again open and he came in with a bowl in his hand, apparently it was of soup. He put it on the side table and sit on the bed, he passed me a smile which I didn't returned back.
"I wanna talk to you." I said him and he nodded his head telling me to continue.
"Whatever Caden said was it true?" I asked and clenched my fists tightly and deep inside my heart I was praying that wasn't come out as true.
He took a deep breath, "ah-nah" he said but didn't met his eyes with mine and a feeling drwan upon me that he was lying, I build up the courage to ask him again to got real answer this time.
"Whatever Caden said was it true or not? Your answer should be in yes or no." I asked with a straight face showing no fear on my face but inside of my heart was begging that it shouldn't be true. I clenched my fists more, nails digging in my palms.
I got freezeon my spot, My breath got stuck in my throat as his words reached my ears. "Yes, he is my child." He said and on that moment I felt that I'm no more myself.
Suddenly I chuckled and he frowned his eyebrows, and little laugh left my mouth and he become more shocked ,it was all written on his face, a loud laugh left my mouth and I stare at him intensely. I didn't blink for once, and I know I held a dangerous look in my eyes. I don't know how my hand flew up in air and met across his face.
I leaned on him and stop just near his ear. "Don't show me your ugly face ever again." I whispered dangerously and moved back, without taking off my eyes from him.
"Get out" I yelled and pointed towards the door still staring at him. He moved a little and then left the room and shut it behind him.
As the door slammed, I close my eyes totally defeated as I lost everything I had, tears start flowing like water dam just broken, my whole world just shattered in front of me yet I can't do anything, like someone tied my hands, I can't put my feelings in words this much I didn't suffered before, seconds by second pain was just increasing going to it's extent, felt like my heart will burst out at any minute. This thought makes my heart ached in pain more that this pain is not going to end ever.
I loved him so much, I gave him my heart my soul yet he betrayed me, what have I ever done to get this?
