Despite the memories,
I'm having you removed,
From heart and soul,
Having you reused.
Recycling shadows,
Recreating the past,
Reconstructing evidence,
That I don't want to last.
Killing the thoughts,
That I had of you,
Turning stone cold,
Only yellow, pink and blue.
Redeeming pride,
Recreating the past,
Reinventing ego,
Hoping this time it will last.
Turning my back,
Not looking to what's been,
Sitting blindly,
Wishing I've never seen.
