When Summer Ends

When summer ends,

As the rain seeps in.

A winter wonderland,

About to begin.

Coming out of nowhere,

Shadows in the rain.

Lightning thunder storms,

So much more to gain.

Upducted by the winter,

Frosty in the cold.

A warm receiving blanket,

All my dreams unfold.

When summer ends,

The silver years set in.

A complete new life,

Yet to begin.

Stunned by frosted windows,

Looking through the glass.

So many opportunities,

Just too good to pass.

Suddenly I know,

What somber winter holds.

When Summer ends,

A whole new world unfolds.
