Puppet On A String

Just a puppet on a string,

Dancing to a song.

Not knowing anymore,

The difference between right or wrong.

Handle me with care,

Be sure that I don't fall.

My strings will get knotted,

And you will not hear my call.

You wish I'd do your bidding,

Dance to all you sing.

You do not know the sadness,

That no freedom brings.

You tell me just to listen,

To obey how you handle me.

To move where you tell me,

To never again be free.

You're the puppeteer,

I'm just a puppet on a string.

I don't question right or wrong,

I just dance to the song you sing.
