I've never fooled you,

I've always just been me.

I've always tried to live my life,

Just trying to be free.

You made me someone,

I never was before.

You tried to change my essense,

Into my very core.

But I have never changed,

I am still the same.

I just showed you what you wanted to see,

I simply played your game.

I'm still me on the inside,

No reconstruction could change that.

I'm still that little shy boy,

Hiding like a night-time bat.

I never meant to fool you,

But you're the one who fooled yourself.

You were the one who didn't listen,

Not seeing my true self.
