Looking back at memories,
Faded photographs.
Of the two of us in love,
Both of us with laughs.
I pack away the past,
The ring you gave to me.
I remember all our plans,
That now will not be.
I turn the radio off,
That played our song so much.
I'm tired of the words,
That used to remind me of your touch.
An old written letter,
In time the ink has smudged.
I remember you writing it,
As I silently watched.
The day you went away,
You left a peach colored rose.
Why I dried and kept it,
Only heaven knows.
I keep only one thing,
A memory to remain.
You and me laughing,
The photo in the frame.
