Outer Space

Staring into outer space,

Twinkle lights and shooting stars.

Still remain a mystery,

As I'm hearing roaring cars.

The city lights,

Here from afar.

Roaring past,

Glitzing like a speeding car.

Documented in my diary,

The planets that I've seen.

All replaced by memories,

By movies on a screen.

A little boy of wonder,

Just looking at the sun.

Feels like burning underneath,

He decides to run.

A whole girl – country grown,

Settles in a field of corn.

Mesmerized by a rocket ship,

A whole new world is born.
