We can't choose,
Our beginning is obsolete.
But our future,
Has difficulties we can beat.
We can do things,
Feel good about it too.
Even if in the past,
There were things we shouldn't do.
Where we are going,
Is not structured by the past.
Each day is a new start,
A new beginning at last.
Trained to think we're shaped,
By things long ago.
But we can change the future,
With every step we go.
In the end it is different,
Nothing like before.
We can choose we're we are going,
Not still standing by the shore.
