Pairing: Erik Killmonger x Child! reader

Warning: fluff

Summary: Erik promised his little girl she'd be a Princess and he was going to full fill that promise.

He was king now. He was home now. The was all he ever wanted to come to the home which he desires and burn the hell which he grew up in. Erik smiled as he looked in the mirror he was rocking a silk robe and a gold chain. It was the black panther suit.

Erik really had to thank his cousin, Shuri, for the suit.

In the midst of all his glory, achievements, and celebration Erik did not forgive his promise.

"you called," Okoye said entering his room it was obvious by her stone cold face and the way she spoke she did not and never would like him. But he was okay with that it was not a king's job to be liked.

"Yeah, how fast do those jets go"

"Fast?"

"You and I are taking a trip".

-

"we're here," Okoye said as she landed the jet on the roof of a trashy apartment building. They were in Oakland, California Okoye was unaware of their purpose here but didn't question as she followed her new king of the jet.

"Nah" he stopped her "you stay here, this is personal" she followed orders returning to the jet and waiting. She used the scanner to follow the movement he entered an apartment on the sixth floor got into a fight with two people then picked up a few things and left. Okoye returned to the pilot's seat not wanting the new king to know she was spying. She heard him put a few things down "let's go"

"As you wish".

They flew in silences until Erik decided to break it " Hey, put it on autopilot, come here for a moment" she did as she was told "yes your highness"

"I want you to promise me something ... as a man, a person-"

"As a man, I slit your throat" Erik ignored her comment

"promise me you won't let anything happen to her" Erik stepped aside revealing a little girl curled up in a seat with a white teddy and black blanket was draped over her shoulders. She looked so small and innocent yet tired. She looked like an exhausted angel.

"is she yours?" Okoye asked

"Nah, but I've raised her to be. She knows all about Wakanda I've taught her all I know. But she thinks it's all a fairy tale, a bedtime story. Today I'm goin' to show her it's real and make her a princess. As pure as she is, she deserves to be."

"whose child is this? who did you take her from" Okoye asked in a panic. She was for the throne but not kidnapping children.

"I didn't steal her I saved her. Her father's died her mother a junky she gave her to me when she was four years old for a couple hundred a few days later she overdosed and died in a back alley. I've raised her. I've loved her. she's mine" Erik raised his voice a bit but lowered it when he saw (y/n) beginning to stir. "I promised that girl she'd be a princess and she will. And you'll make sure that nothing bad ever happens to her she's always safe. Can you promise me that?"

"of course my king-"

"No not as your king but as a man as a father promise me you'll protect her you'll protect my baby".

Okoye stepped forward pulling the blanket up to her chin "what's her name?"

"(y/n)... (y/n) Stevens. I legally adopted her and changed her name, I call her Aida too. She just turned 6 years old."

Okoye kneeled in front of her " I promise you, Princess Aida, no harm will ever come to you".

Erik watched as Okoye vowed to be her savior. He felt a big weight lifted off his shoulders. His child was safe his future no longer looked panicked.

"If shit hits the fan-"

"even then she'll be protected, My king".

Returning to Wakanda Okoye helped Erik take (y/n) to her new room it was big and colorful. "she'll love it" Erik said placing her in her new bed and covered her up.

In the morning she'd wake to her new beautiful room in her new beautiful home in her new beautiful country. (y/n) woke up in an unfamiliar room with an unfamiliar person standing at the end of her bed.

"Good morning Princess I'm here to help you thing morning "

"who are you, where am I, where's daddy"

"I'm Yami I'm here to help. You're in Wakanda, your father, the King, is busy at the moment"

"The king?... he's a king"

"and you're a princess"

"I'm a princess. I'm a princess in Wakanda"

(y/n) runs to the window looking out at the beautiful sunrise over the fairy tale like city. Her fairy tale city. "aye, did I or did I not say I'd make you a princess"

"Daddy" (y/n) cheered jumping up and into her father's arms

"Hey baby girl"

"Daddy we're in Wakanda"

"we sure are baby. I promised I'd get you here and I never break a promise. Okoye stood by the door watching her new king interact with the new princess. She did not care much for the new king. But this new princess would have any and everything she desired and Okoye promised that.
