Warning: Fluff, kid, self-hate

Summary: A mission forces Tony to leave his 4-year-old daughter in the care of Loki but he misjudges him and gets an unexpected show provided by Friday.

"WHY WON'T YOU HATE ME"

If anything I mean anything happens to her you'll be 6 feet under- or whatever Asgard term that means dead" Tony said glaring at Loki. The Avengers were called away on a last minute mission in India that making Tony leave his baby girl at home and Pepper was away as well and basically anyone who he had thought could babysit her was busy which left Loki being his only opinion. Loki still hadn't gained permission to leave the tower so he wasn't going on the mission.

"I'm not going to hurt her," Loki said for what felt like the hundredth time. Tony had been threatening him for the last 20 minutes as the others were getting ready and his daughter was saying bye to them. "Mr. Stark the others are ready to leave just waiting for you, sir" Friday announced Tony gave Loki one more glare before he took off to the upper deck to get his goodbye from his daughter.

Everyone hated Loki, so one could imagine how Tony felt Living his daughter in his care. The world had not forgiven Loki the damage he did no matter her excuse or amount of apologizes. He was still a monster in their eyes, the monster that brought monsters to them. But he was Thor's brother and the world owe Thor too much so they gave him the gift of probation, Loki who had apologized constantly was given probation (actually it was more like house arrest) he was forbidden from leaving the tower unless he was escorted out of the building or taken on missions, it was the least they could have done for Thor even if they didn't like it. Loki was the most hated person on planet earth and Asgard, pretty sure he was wanted somewhere else in the galaxy too.

With everyone else hating on Loki it was hard not to hate himself. It was him against the whole world, the whole galaxy, so of course, he would join the winning side even if it was against himself. Self- doubt, low self-esteem, envy a lot of things kept Loki low (key) he was emotionally and mentally opened to attacks because of this which eventually lead to his downfall and the tragic events in Manhattan. But he didn't but his pity party on display he covers it up with sarcasm, smirks, jokes, and little pranks here and there. Every in the Galaxy hates Loki, including himself, everyone but (y/n) Stark that is.

"Hi" (y/n) said entering the living room " they're gone but they said they'd call" she climbed on the couch next to Loki and just sat there after a moment of silence when by she climbed off the couch and turned on the TV to watch SpongeBob. The room soon began to fill with the laughter on an unamusing sponge (who are we kidding SpongeBob is hilarious). Loki eventually got tired of it and left the room (y/n) turned off the TV and followed him to the library look picked up a novel and (y/n) picked Cat and The Hat and began to read out loud Loki gave her a glare and she began to whisper read. Loki got tired of that and left for the kitchen she followed him there as well. Loki had had enough "WHAT DO YOU WANT" he finally shouted

"A sandwich please" (y/n) said taking a seat at the table Loki rolled his eyes "I mean Why are you following me around," he asked

"oh I like you, you are funny. Can I have that sandwich now?" she said swinging her legs in her chair because she was so short

"I'm a monster you should be scared of me, " Loki said turning his skin blue and eyes red taking a step closer to her he was so close to her now she could feel the cold coming off his skin "why aren't you trembling with fear I'm a monster can't you see"

"Pretty blue skin," she said bopping his blue nose "I'll make my own sandwich and yours too" Loki would have been deeply stunned he showed his true form to this child and she didn't scream or cry or run away. She told him he was Pretty bopped his nose and went to make both of them sandwiches he should have been stunned. But he was used to this he had spent the last few months trying to avoid her and he managed to do so. The only real time he saw her was during breakfast and dinner. During breakfast, she doesn't have enough energy to talk and During dinner, he'd ignore her entirely and if she got too much he'd get up and leave finish dinner in his room.

(y/n) was a little nuisance to him, a thorn in his side, a stump in his miserable muse but he wouldn't have it any other way. (y/n) was the only person in the galaxy to like Loki even with all he did she still tried to get to know him. Loki blamed her young age, 4 years old, and absentminded as to why she didn't run or understand/ consider all the wrong he did. But Loki was grateful for her obliviousness.

After (y/n) failed attempt at making a sandwich Loki took over and made them both sandwiches, he cut hers into squares, along with fruit. The two went to the living room to eat while watching TV (y/n) turned it on to SpongeBob Loki immediately snatched the remote and changed it to the Discovery Channel, Loki often watched educational channels and read a book to learn more about Misgard. Loki expected a react but ended up with nothing she just continued to her damn sandwich. Loki had to stoop so low as to need the hate of a child.

"Why don't you hate me? Why aren't you scared?" Loki asked the little girl turning off the TV and throwing the remote across the room "I a monster everyone in the world- no the galaxy hates me, I hate me, you are the only one in the Galaxy that doesn't hate me Why? I hate me " though his outburst was something most children would have cried from she just looked at him concerned, she's 4 she's not supposed to know how to look concern, she was not fazed by his outburst her father had had plenty when she was a baby she was just concern now. That was the last emotional straw Loki had after that he put his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands desperately trying to hold back tears. Here he was the great God of Mischief falling apart in front of a little 4-year-old girl because she didn't fear him or hate him like everybody.

Loki didn't move when he felt a weight on his shoulder nor did he move when he felt a tiny hand rub his back.

"It's okay if you hate you. It's okay, I like you. I'm going to keep liking you until you like you then I'm going to keep on liking you still... I'm going to like you forever"

Loki laughed as the little girl spoke into his shoulder. He could admit that (y/n) Stark was Stark's greatest creations and he had done well with her

"Thank you"

The Avengers were supposed to be back in the morning but Tony uses an unnecessary amount of force which ended the which faster than usual and left a lot of future paperwork. As soon as the jet landed Tony, as well as the other Avengers, Jumped off the jet in search for little (y/n) "it offends me how little you think of my brother" Thor said as he followed everyone "Friday, where?" Tony asked "living room sir" everyone cramped into the elevator as Friday deliver them to the Living room. The living room lights were off the only source of light being the TV "Friday turn on the li-" "no" Thor said stopping Tony and pointing to the couch. On the couch Loki laid with (y/n) across his chest the two were quietly sleeping, the two were soooo cute the sight was so damn adorable. Thor took a blanket and laid it on both of them and Tony kissed (y/n) on her forehead and left the two.

"Alright so.... I don't hate him but I don't like him" Tony said everyone living the two to sleep unbeknownst to them that Loki was awake and hearing those word from Stark's mouth made his day. Maybe ....not everybody hated Loki.
