“Where r u?”
“Is everything ok?”
“Wilmer?”
“Youre making me worried”
“Answer”
“Don’t be late”
Please”
Demi sighed and sat down on the bed in her room. The guests had already started to gather, and Wilmer still wasn’t there. He didn’t even text her that day and it made her worried. Nervously she stood up and walked to the mirror one more time. Her makeup looked strikingly, dress as well. Everything was in its places.
The door opened and Demi’s mother walked into the room. She grinned looking at her daughter; it was still hard for her to believe that her little girl was eighteen today. She walked closer and hugged Demi tightly.
“You look so good.” Dianna praised Demi, but Demi just sighed and walked to the bed. She sat down and started playing with her fingers. Maybe something had happened to Wilmer? Maybe he had an accident and was in hospital? A lot of ideas went in her head, making her worried even more.
Suddenly her little sister, Madison, rushed into the room with a huge grin on her face.
“Wilmer is here.” She announced, smiling.
Demi immediately stood up and rushed down the stairs to see Wilmer. She almost ran on her high heels, although it was almost impossible because the high heels were so high. As soon as she reached Wilmer, she hugged him, ignoring something in his hands.
“Asshole.” She whispered into his ear and pulled away from the hug.
“Wow, you’re in a good mood.” Wilmer joked, looking at Demi. He took a step back and smiled to her. That moment Demi looked at his hands and saw that he was holding something like board. Wilmer caught her eyes. “Happy birthday, my dearest friend.” He turned around the board and Demi gasped. The entire board was covered with funny photos of them.
“Oh my God” Demi covered her mouth with her hand. It was probably the cutest present she had ever got. She walked to Wilmer and gave him another hug. “Thank you so much, this is the best thing.”
“Let’s hang it in your room, shall we?” Wilmer suggested and Demi nodded, grinning. They excused themselves and rushed up the stairs to her room.
They entered the room and Wilmer walked straight to the empty wall while Demi closed the door behind herself. When she turned around Wilmer was already gluing the board on her wall. Demi walked to him and wrapped her hands around his waist from behind, resting her head on his back.
“I thought something happened to you.” She sighed. “You didn’t answer me all day. What were you doing?” She asked him but Wilmer didn’t answer her. He was too busy gluing the board.
