So this is my new fiction! Please leave me some feedback.
At first this fic may look like others, but I PROMISE it will be different!
Voto Latino. This is probably the only project in which Demi didn’t want to go so bad. She wondered why she signed that fucking contract because with every day she didn’t want to go there more and more. But something deep inside whispered that perhaps all this will turn into something good.
“I don’t know anyone.” Demi groaned as she sat down on the couch in the Voto Latino set. She looked around and saw everybody talking with each other, like they have been friends for year while she’s all alone there. Suddenly she felt like in school. Outcast.
“Why this beautiful girl is sitting here alone?” Young Latin man sat beside her on the couch. She rolled her eyes at him and looked away, sighing. Although she felt lonely there, she didn’t want someone flirting with her. “Wow, someone isn’t in the mood.” He said, looking at her. “I’m Wilmer Valderrama.” He introduced himself to her but Demi just rolled her eyes at him again.
“I’m Demi Lovato. Now you can leave me alone.” She said, not even looking at him. Wilmer laughed at how cold she was acting. “You can go now.” She said again, looking at him for the first time. Their eyes met for the first time and Demi finally smiled. Her heart fluttered and she looked away quickly.
“Oh, someone is shy.” Wilmer joked, making Demi’s cheeks turn pinker. “You are sitting here alone, I thought you would like to talk to someone. Plus you are the biggest star here, miss.” He joked again.
“I’m used to be alone. Don’t worry.” She looked at him again and saw his smiling face. “And stop smiling like an idiot, it sucks.” She crossed her hands over the chest and looked at him. She tried to act serious and unfriendly but failed and started giggling at Wilmer’s funny face.
“Finally” He laughed too. “Miss Vixen smiled.”
“Shut up.” She giggled again, blushing one more time. Suddenly her phone rang and she excused herself and answered the phone. “Hey?” Wilmer sat there and smiled to her. “No, baby, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. Yes, I will fix it. Okay, bye.” She put her phone in her purse again and looked at Wilmer, who stared at her.
“Unhappy boyfriend?” He asked. “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.” He quickly added, looking into her huge brown eyes. She shook her head and sighed.
“He always is unhappy with what I do. He doesn’t even love me, you know. It’s all for attention but why I’m telling this to you. I don’t even know you.” She groaned and turned away. Wilmer felt how tensed she was, so he put his hand on her trying to calm her down.
“You know guys are stupid. “ He stated, making her giggle sarcastically.
“Yes, you’re stupid too.” She joked. Wilmer frowned and she giggled at him. “It’s true. If you weren’t stupid, you wouldn’t be here with me right now. You will talk with sexy girl, who could make your wildest dreams come true.”
“I grew out of it.” He said, honestly. It got Demi’s attention and for a moment. “So wanna talk about your unhappy boyfriend?” He asked again as Demi looked away. She doubted for a while because she didn’t know him. She didn’t trust people easily, but this time something inside her let believe him.
“We are dating just for attention. At first I thought he loves me, just like I do, but I realized I was wrong. It was producers thought, Joe liked it, and I agreed because I love him. You know, I’m alone with feelings there but anyways, it’s not the most important thing. He is unhappy with everything what I do, like if I go to the party, he is irritated.” Demi finished. She looked up to Wilmer again and saw that he was still listening to her, so she gave him a little smile.
“You go to the parties? You’re underage.” He asked. Demi giggled at him and sighed.
“Wilmer, we live in 21st century. All crazy teenagers have fake card. I am like other people. And by the way I will turn 18 soon.” She said and looked at her phone, which lit up. She opened the message and rolled her eyes.
“Unhappy boyfriend again?” Wilmer asked, making Demi shake her head. She quickly texted back and put the phone back into her purse. Then she looked back to Wilmer and found him staring at her.
“What?” She asked, blushing a bit. Most of the time she wasn’t shy but there were times when she was, probably, the shiest girl in the world.
“You look very sweet, Demi.” He said and Demi rolled her eyes at him. She hated when people praised her. “No, seriously, I don’t understand that guy. How can he not love you? Although I know you for a few minutes, I think you’re very sweet girl.”
“Let’s not talk about me.” She turned away and looked out of the window. “You know, I would love to have a friend like you. I mean, I told you very boring story about my unhappy love life, and you listened to it. It would be awesome to have a person like you as a friend.”
“Oh, do you suggest yourself?” He joked, making Demi giggle a little. She wasn’t giggling often but with Wilmer she felt so free and she couldn’t control herself. “I would love to be your friend too.”
“So… Friends?” She stretched out her arm to him, and he shook her hand. A small smile on his face let Demi understood that he was happy about that deal.
Honestly, Demi searched for a friend like Wilmer for several years. Yes, she had Nick Jonas, they were still close but things got harder than she started dating Joe. Plus, she didn’t feel comfortable to talk with Nick about how unhappy she was with his brother. And finally, into her life came a man, who could possibly be that friend.
Maybe contract with Voto Latino wasn’t that bad…
