“Do you really have to leave?” Wilmer asked, entering Demi’s room. Several suitcases were placed at the door while Demi put clothes into another suitcase. She ignored him for a while because they had the conversation about it many times but he still couldn’t get over the fact that she was going to Africa.
“Wilmer, if you don’t want to help, then leave.” She stated as she picked up a photo of them and put it into a suitcase. In case she will get sad, she will look at the photo and feel better because he always made her feel like that.
Wilmer didn’t say anything, instead he walked closer to her, and wrapped his hands tightly around Demi. At first she didn’t hug him back but after a few seconds, she hugged him as tight as she could. She closed her eyes tightly as Wilmer hugged her tighter.
“I will come back, Wilmer, don’t worry.” She whispered against his chest. All his fear was not justified, but he was afraid that she will not come back or something bad will happen to her. He was afraid of losing her. He did everything in his power to stop her from going there but she was stubborn as always and he lost.
“I know,” He whispered back and kissed on top of her head. He pulled away a bit and put his hand into his pocket. Demi followed his movements and her eyes widened when she saw a small black box in his hand. She looked up to his face, then back to the box, and again to his face. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to propose to you,” He said and Demi immediately relaxed. They were just friends, but Wilmer was unpredictable. “Listen, during your birthday you will be away, so I’m giving you your present now. Please, don’t open it until your birthday.” He slowly handed a box to Demi, making her nod excitedly.
“Oh my God, thank you so much, Wilmer,” She wrapped her hands around his neck again. She felt a few tears running down her cheeks; she got emotional very quickly these days. “Thank you, my best friend,” She said again, smiling through the tears.
“Promise me, you won’t open it until I let you,” Wilmer asked as they pulled away a bit. He wiped her tears with his thumbs and kissed her forehead again. Demi nodded her head, promising him. “Good. I don’t know what would I do without you, baby” He whispered and hugged Demi again.
“Same,” She whispered back. They stayed quiet for a while, enjoying the warm of each other. But after a few minutes of that comfortable feeling they were forced to pull away because the car was already waiting down the stairs.

“So, she is gone,” Madison stated as she walked into Demi’s room with Wilmer. Wilmer ignored Madison’s statement because it was a really painful subject for him and walked to Demi’s bed. He sat down and looked around the room, sighing.
“Why does she have so much stuff?” He asked, groaning. Madison jumped on the bed and looked around too.
“Because she’s a girl.” She answered and opened drawer of the nightstand beside the bed. She rested her head on the pillow, looking around the room, “I have no idea why do you want to move all her things… We could take her makeup, some clothes and shoes, because if you want to collect all of her items, we won’t make it in time. She will come back sooner.” Madison stated, crossing her hands over her chest and turning to Wilmer.
