I'm so so sorry for not posting for so long!
“I fucking love you”
These words repeated in Demi’s head over and over again until she started sobbing. She wrapped her hands tighter around her knees and closed her eyes. He loved her but was dating other. Why was he hiding his feeling?
Demi turned to Wilmer but he was looking somewhere else. She sighed and looked to the sea, with tears running down her cheeks. She felt so confused about this entire situation. All this time she thought that she was the only one who had feeling, but appeared that it was different. It wasn’t her fault anymore.
Wilmer felt how Demi turned to him but he wasn’t strong and brave enough to look upon her in the eyes. He didn’t understand why he announced his feelings. He could hide it all his life and then everyone would be happy but now? What came over him? And that moment, he felt shame.
For several minutes they sat in silence. And that silence was far from pleasant. They both tried to consider what just had happened.
“So why did you run away?” Wilmer suddenly asked, breaking the silence and making Demi gasp. How could he change the subject so fast? Demi shook her head and stood up. Her legs were still shaking from all that crying but she managed to step a few steps.
“You’re an asshole, you know?” She said as calm as she could. She quickly wiped the tears away from her cheeks and looked at him again, “You say you love me, and after a few seconds you want to ignore it? No, Wilmer, it doesn’t work like that. Why the hell didn’t you tell me before?” She asked but he didn’t say anything. He just sat there and stared at her. Demi couldn’t help but rolled her eyes at him and walked away.
Wilmer immediately stood up and grabbed her hand, trying to stop her from walking but Demi pushed him away. “DEMI, WAIT” Wilmer shouted but Demi just kept walking away. She didn’t turn back. She wanted to leave him behind.
The rain started raining again but it didn’t stop her. She started running to her home direction as fast as she could. She wanted to run away from Wilmer and his words. He loved her. But he didn’t want to be with her. Could it be worse?
“Demetria” She heard him shouting again and this time she stopped. She slowly turned around and found Wilmer behind her. He was standing there with wide eyes. He felt guilty but at the same time he was angry. He was angry with himself, with her and the world.
He grabbed her hand and pulled her closer. Their faces were inches away and all she wanted to do was kiss him but she was still mad. In fact, she was mad as hell. And she wasn’t going to forgive him.
“Don’t touch me” She hissed but Wilmer didn’t let go of her hand. He held it even tighter. “I’m going to shout.” She warned.
“Shout. Scream. Do whatever you want.” He said seriously and suddenly wrapped his other arm around her waist, pressing her to his body, “But listen to me,” He leaned closer to her face, “I love you but I don’t want to be with you. Forget about me. Just forget, okay? Our friendship was a huge mistake, probably the biggest mistake in our lives, so let’s move on. No more drama between us. We shared a story but that’s all. I don’t want to hurt you.” He said and leaned over to kiss her but instead of the kiss he got a slap.
“You are already hurting me,” She whispered as tears started to run her cheeks again, “More than you can imagine,” She added and pushed him away. “I hope you will have a beautiful life.” She whispered again and turned around.
“Demi, I-“ Wilmer wanted to say something but nothing came out. He had no idea what to say. He was so confused. Demi looked over her shoulder, rolled her eyes at him and walked away.
He stood there paralyzed. . He watched how she walked out of his life and he was able to do nothing. It was his decision.

Demi walked through dark California’s streets, crying. The tears were running her cheeks like never before. Her heart has been broken many times, but it was nothing compared to what she felt right now. It seemed like someone tore her heart from her chest.
Demi stopped and leaned against the tree. Crowding her head, she looked up into the dark sky. At that moment, she felt that her life was darker than that fucking sky, which couldn’t stop raining. And no matter how crazy it sounded, she hated that dark sky.
She stumbled and burst out crying. She knew that after this night she will have to live on, smile in front of the camera and loved ones. She still remembered that tomorrow from the earliest morning she has to be in X Factor auditions, smiling and funny. But how she is able to do this, when all her life just fell apart again?
After a few hours of crying, she noticed that it became dawn. She had been crying the whole night, but it didn’t make her feel better. She wiped the tears from her cheeks and slowly stood up. Everything around her began to turn but she managed to take a few steps without falling.
It was going to be a long way home.

Wilmer quietly unlocked the door of the house and stepped inside. He could hear steps and after a few seconds in front of him stood his girlfriend. She gasped as she saw how wet he was, but it didn’t stop her from hugging him.
“What happened?” She asked as they pulled away after a few minutes.
“Nothing. We had a fight and our friendship is officially over.” He shrugged and hugged her again, “But all this thing made me realize one thing.” He breathed out and continued, “I love you very much, Amelia, and I don’t want to play games anymore. Will you marry me?”
Wilmer stood there still holding Amelia in his embrace but to his surprise, she pushed him away. When he found her eyes, he saw tears in it. She quickly wiped the tears and shook her head with a sarcastic smile on her face.
“Wilmer, we both know you love someone else.” She shrugged, “You belong to her, so fight for her. A lot of time I tried to pretend that you have forgotten her, but then you ran out today, I realized that you never stopped loving her.”
Wilmer stood there as if paralyzed again. Was it so obvious? And what’s the point of that love, if he can’t be with her? Proposing, he wanted to forget Demi. It was immature decision, but, to him, it was the only way to forget Demi.
“You deserve to be happy,” Amelia tiptoed and pressed her lips to Wilmer’s. Pulling away, she ran her hand through his cheek, “Fight for her.” She whispered and rushed up the stairs, leaving Wilmer alone.
He leaned against the door and closed his eyes.
He just ruined his life and shattered the hearts of two women in one night.
