“How do you dare to say that I’m insane when you stole half of my birthday cake.” Demi asked, crossing her arms over her chest. Wilmer shrugged and got into the car. Demi rolled her eyes but did the same. “Where are we going?” She asked, looking at Wilmer.
“Surprise.” He replied, pulling the scarf out of his pocket. Demi’s eyes widened as he put in on her eyes, so she couldn’t see anything. “This is going to be fun.” Wilmer stated, starting the car.
“Are you taking me to the forest? You will take advantage of me and leave me there?” Demi thought out loud, trying to act serious. She knew Wilmer would never do something like that. He just wasn’t that type. Although he don’t need to take someone to the forest, because most of the girls come to his bed after a few winks.
“Yup, of course.” Wilmer nodded his head, although Demi couldn’t see that. She groaned, but didn’t say anything. “If your mom will be mad, blame me.” Wilmer said, seriously.
“Don’t worry, I will. You’re the only one bad here.” Demi sighed and started playing with her fingers. “Do you think Joe loved me?” She asked. These words were still in her hand. And, as always, she believed what the other said. Well, in fact, she always thought about herself as a slut, but now, when she had heard it from her own boyfriend, it was even more painful. He broke her heart again.
“Sorry, but no. Look at him. He’s bastard, Demi. He is a child. You should forget about him and move on.” Wilmer put his hand on Demi thigh and squeezed it, “Right now you have me, and although I’m not your boyfriend and I can’t kiss you every single time you want, I won’t let you suffer because of him. He’s just not worth it.” Wilmer added, smiling.
Demi didn’t say anything back. She just smiled at Wilmer’s words. He really knew how to make her feel better.
After ten minutes, the car stopped somewhere. Demi was about to take scarf from her eyes, when Wilmer grabbed her hands.
“Wow, what are you doing?” He asked, “I will tell you when to take it off.” He jumped out of the car and walked around the car, to open Demi’s door. He stretched a hand to her and she took it smiling. .For a moment she really thought they were in the forest. Wilmer grabbed the cake and bottle of champagne, while Demi managed to grab her purse. “Hold my shoulder.” Wilmer said as they started walking.
“Fuck” Demi hissed. It was so uncomfortable to walk on her high heels. “Where the hell are we?” She asked when her shoes pierced into something. It felt like dirt, sand or grass.
“You better take off your shoes.” Wilmer said. Demi groaned but took off her shoes and took them to her hands. Her foot recognized sand.
“Are we at the beach?” She asked, getting excited.
“Just shut up and walk.” Wilmer said and Demi immediately shut up. They walked slowly and Demi listened to everything around. “Stop.” After several minutes of walking, Wilmer said, making Demi sigh. She hated being blindfolded. “Now, miss Lovato, you can take the scarf off.” He announced, and Demi immediately took it off.
