Devin's POV:
After we went star gazing and danced in the moonlit sky, I dropped her off at her house. I walked her to her door. Here we are in front of their door.
"So this is you." I said to her.
"Yeah. This is me." she smiles softly at me.
"Is it okay if I kissed you?"
Instead of answering me she moved closer to me, she put her arms around my neck and pulled my nape in for a kiss.
The kiss lingered on for a minute, it was gentle, soft and full of love. I pulled away first and smiled.
"Good night Myrtle, thank you for the wonderful night."
I whispered softly, barely audible, as I put my forehead against hers.
"Thank you for the wonderful night, Devin."
She hugs me and lets me go, before she opens the front door. She smiled before closing the door. I went back to my truck and drove home with a silly smile plastered to my face. When I reached home, I parked the car to its usual spot and entered the house. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and sent Myrtle a message.
Me: Hey, I'm home. Safe and Sound.
Myrtle: Hey.. Good. You should get some sleep now. I'm getting ready for bed myself. I'll message you tomorrow. Good night, Devin. Sweet Dreams.
Me: Okay. Good Night, Myrtle. Sweet Dreams. Talk to you tomorrow.
Myrtle: Talk to you tomorrow. :)
I put the phone down on the bedside table and plugged it in the charger. I went ahead and took a quick shower before changing into comfortable sleeping clothes. Once I was in bed, I still couldn't fall asleep. I got up and got my guitar. I strummed the guitar and started to write again the song that I sang for Myrtle earlier.
In a matter of 2 hours, I managed to finish writing the song, when my phone rang. I looked at the screen and saw that Myrtle was calling. I answered the call immediately.
"Hello, Myrtle?" I said, puzzled.
"Hi, Devin." She said back.
"Hey, bakit? I thought you're going to sleep?" I said.
"Yeah, I can't sleep. Can you lull me to sleep please?" She said.
"I can, what song would you like me to sing?" I replied.
"The song you wrote for me." She said.
"I just finished writing it." I chuckled under my breath.
"Sing it to me please." she begged me and I didn't have the heart to say no to her.
