Myrtle's POV:
It has been a couple of months, Naka-graduate na ako from High school. My Valedictory Speech was about Hope for the future. I bid my schoolmates a happy life and the best in their life. It was my last day in California, as Dad and Mom helped me pack the rest of my stuff in the car.
I was wearing ripped skinny jeans, tank top and Devin's red hoodie. Pagtapos kong maisakay na sa likod ng truck ni Daddy ang mga gamit ko, agad naman akong niyakap ni Mommy.
"Princess, be careful out there ha? Mag-aral kang mabuti. Kayo ni Devin, mag-aral kayong mabuti. Please Hija, wag mong masyadong kulitin si Devin." She says as she hugs me tight.
"Mom, hindi po. Hindi ko kukulitin si Devin and even if I do, sanay naman na sa akin yun." I smiled at her.
"Hay, ang swerte mo kay Devin. I love you anak. Tawag ka from time to time ha?" She smiled at me.
"Yes, I will mom." I said to her as I kissed her in the cheeks.
"You guys go now." as she pushed me to the car.
Nang makasakay na ako, Dad started the ignition and drove to the airport.
"Princess, I can't believe you are going to your dream school, parang kailan lang, baby ka pa namin ng mommy mo. Kayo ng Ate Madison mo."
Dad said almost teary eyed.
"Dad, wag kang iiyak. I will still see you guys back home. I'd still come home on Christmas break." I smiled at him.
"I know princess. I know. Kaso, hindi mo naman maiaalis sa akin ang mag alala sayo. You've always been Daddy's Whittle Pwincess." he said to me with a smile.
I chuckled at him.
"I know dad, pero promise ko po, I will be responsible for myself. Andun rin naman si Devin, we'll live together on the flat you got us for my birthday. Remember?" I reminded him.
"Yes, I remember Hija. But always remember we love you and if there's some one who will hurt you, sabihin mo lang anak, even if that person is Devin." He smiled but I knew he was serious. I nodded at him as we continued to drive to the airport.
We got to the airport and checked my stuff in. I had one big luggage and a backpack with me. Thankfully hindi naman ako nagkaron ng excess. Dad and I sat at the seats in front of my boarding gate, waiting for my flight.
"Call us as soon as you get settled in New York, okay?" He smiled
"Yes, Dad. I will. Thank you again for buying me a flat in New York, I love you so much Dad." I answered him.
"Walang ano man, Hija. That's the least thing your Dad can do for you and the love of your life." He said teasingly.
"Dad naman eh." I retorted.
"Uy, nagbablush ka hija." he pointed out as he laughed.
"Dad, Devin is my great love, pero hindi pa po kami official." I said to him.
"What's holding you back hija?" he asked me with worry in his eyes.
"Dad, wala kay Devin ang problema. She's perfect. Nasa akin po. I feel like I can't trust anyone yet. I still have doubts." I clarified immediately.
"Princess, take as much time as you need to, kilala ko na so Devin, she will surely understand and let you find yourself again. Don't rush yourself." he smiled.
"Thank you, dad. I'm not rushing naman po. I'm taking my time."
"Good to know Hija." he said to me as he pulls me in for a hug.
