Mabilis na tumakbo ang mga buwan, in a week's time ay gagraduate na kami ni Myrtle from school. Both Suma Cum Laudes of our Department. Our parents are happy. Pagka-graduate namin, nakatakda namang mag-licensing exam si Myrtle.
While I will be away on tour wtih my band Sinthesis. We talked about this at napagkasunduan naming gawin muna ang mga dapat naming gawin, para sa aming mga sarili bago pa ang para sa aming dalawa. This particular week is one of our most nostalgic week, we will miss this school. Going to school had always been one of our life's anchors.
We had a common passion for learning at ito ang aming priority. Pero all things come to an end as they say. While I am excited for the future, I am scared at the same time of how my life is going to play out. Si Myrtle lang ang tanging nagpapakalma sa akin.
After ng graduation practice namin, Myrtle and I sat at the cafeteria, eating our snacks before going home.
"Love, I can't believe we're finally graduating." Myrtle said to me.
"Ako din love, four years of hardships, muntik pa tayong magkahiwalay ng tuluyan dahil sa school." I chuckled at the memory.
"Love, kung hindi rin dahil sayo, malamang ngang nagkahiwalay na tayo hindi pa man nagiging tayo. Kaya, thank you." she smiled
I hugged her as we sat on the soccer field, she was sitting in between my legs as I was giving her a back hug. We sat for a while, silently as we savor the last few days of our college days.
After naming maupo at magmuni-muni, napagkasunduan naming mag-dinner sa labas. We dined at a nearby restaurant. We spent the evening just laughing at ourselves. It feels right that we finally had the time to just hang out again. I took the time to look at Myrtle, she has grown up to be a fine young woman.
"Love, what did I ever do to deserve you?" I asked her out of the blue.
She looked at me quite puzzled, she thinks. I love it when she thinks.
"God said, you deserve another shot at happiness. Ikaw, what did I ever do to deserve you?" she smiled.
"God said, you deserve to be treated correctly, because you're kind." I smiled back at her.
"Love, anong nakikita mo sa future?" she asked me a bit hesitantly.
"I see you in my future. Be it as a house wife, a career woman with your own architectural firm or as a mother to my kids, a big house with cats and dogs, you and I happy." I smiled as I told her what my future looks like.
"Wow, sobrang detailed naman niyan love. How many kids are you seeing?" She asked me.
"Two kids, a boy and a girl. The girl looks exactly like you and the boy exactly like me."
"May nakakalimutan ka love, what about you? Bakit puro ako at ang mga plano mong anak?" she asked me as she took a bite from her pasta.
"Love, ikaw lang naman ang pangarap ko na hindi pa natutupad, I am already producing music for Sinthesis. Ikaw ba love, what do you see in your future?" I smiled at her as I took a bite from my burger.
"I see a big house, I see you. Living your best life, producing music. I see us travelling the world together, then eventually our two kids, a boy and a girl. I see myself succeeding in my career." she smiled.
"Love, konting hintay na lang. Matutupad na natin ang mga pangarap natin." I smiled at her.
"Thank you, love. Your patience means so much to me." she says so sincerely.
"You are damn worth it, my love." I said to her chuckling.
She chuckled as well as we continued to eat. After dinner umuwi na kami. Pagdating namin sa bahay, we lazily laid down in bed. Naguusap pa din kami.
