"Kongphob." Maprang called him. She led him to one of the salon inside the embassy. There, a young man, a teenager really, is busy playing game on his phone.

"Em." Maprang called his name in warning. The teenager jolts his body, hastily put his phone away. His eyes then widened when his gaze stumbled to Kong.

"Nee- Neeramphorn." He stutters.

"Please, call me Kongphob. We're not in Mångata." He politely said, waving his hand in greeting.

"Ye-yes.." the teenager is too jittery right now, it's endearing. People around Kong is too serious, even though they're still young.

"Kongphob, please excuse how he behave." Maprang sighed. Looks like it's a general occurrence with this boy. Then, she properly introduces them.

"Em, as you know, this is Kongphob, General of Ekala City, Lord of Elanora, Neeramphorn of Natee Phuri."

"Ohhoo.. Maprang.. you're scaring this kid." Kong remarks. But the high priestess glare at him. Okay.. it seems she wants to do it the formal way.

"And Kongphob, this is my son from an Earthian, Em. He is a Chrysocolla."

Ah. That explain his black hair. Chrysocolla is the lowest rank in water clan after all.

..son?

"Eh?!" he can't help but blurt out his surprise.

Maprang smirks. "Yes. He is my only son. I married my late husband twenty years ago. Sadly, he passed away when Em was only five."

"I.. see."

"I mostly live with my grandparents, because their house is much closer to school. But now I've finished my exams. So I come here to play." Em piped in.

"I'm thinking that introducing Em would brightened your day. He is so into.. gadget. And robots, and game. It might interest you."

Kong feel touched with Maprang's concern.

"Thank you. I appreciate it."

The embassy of each clan is only a place where the gate from their dimension operate. And the staffs here only have few tasks; that is, to census every living people from their respective clan who either live or visit the earth wherever they are, ensuring that every treaty was uphold, and securing the gate. So it was really boring of him to be holed up inside the embassy.

Friending Em was actually a good decision. He introduced him to many things. He learned a lot, and visit a lot. It makes him forget for a little while, feeling like he was just a normal teenager like Em.

One day, he found Em tried to tell his mother about the robot he likes. He held the robot and explain many parts of it to his mother to no avail, judging from the frown that marred her pretty face.

Em look disappointed.

"Ma is sorry na.. but it looks cool. Really." Maprang tried to assured her son.

"It's okay, Ma. I can't explain it better. But you're right. This is the coolest robot ever! Ah, hello, Kong."

Both parent and son greets him.

"I have to go now, na." Em informs them. Maprang nodded.

"..why is he so in a rush?" Kong asked her, sitting where Em sit before.

"Apparently, he passed the preliminary exam to his first-choice university. He wants to celebrate with his friends." She explain.

"Ah."

"You look troubled." Kong observed. She sigh then.

"Em tried so hard to make me interested with whatever he took interest in. but I honestly don't understand. Give me an oracle or magic circle to study any day, it's still making more sense than those robots." She grumbled.

Kong laughs so hard at that. He coughed when Maprang glared at him.

"You do know why he likes robot, right?" he then asked her to change topic.

"Hm?"

"He said he wants to build robot or machine to help your daily routine. That's why he'll study alchemy after this."

"..." he can see Maprang's face reddened. She blushed, touched with her son's concern.

"That kid, I'm not that frail I need tools to help me get by." She muttered. But Kong can tell that she is happy.

Suddenly, an idea came.

"Why don't you enroll with the same course at him? That way, you can spend more time with him and actually learned about what he took interest him."

"..why am I have to also be here?" he asked himself a few days after he suggest Maprang to take some action with her son. Now he is here, in the university where Em had to pass his interview.

Of course, Em was so happy he hugged his mother tightly until she almost can't breathe. He said that Maprang could help him score a date in the university.

..what a weird parent and son.

But it's so troublesome to dye his hair to jet black. Maprang also has to do that. It's one of the requirement to officially enter the earth world. To be inconspicious.

He walks around before it was his time to do interview. He wonders if he actually need to do this, wasting his life with attending this university.

..he missed Amaya.

Are they okay in Ekala?

The enemy decided to retreat after he took refuge on Earth. They will prepare to attack again. As long as he is alive.

He wonders if his subjects can handle everything.

He heaved a sigh. And decide to sit on one of the bench near the cafeteria.

"Nong." A familiar voice came behind him. As he turns his head, he saw Arthit approaching him, and then sit right beside him.

"You're here for the interview?" Arthit asked.

Kong's mouth opened, but he was speechless. All he can do was nodded.

"Euy, don't make that kind of face." His imprint asserted, smiling reassuringly. He then proceeds to tell a story about when he was being interviewed.

"It's really easy." Arthit concluded convincingly.

..it seems Arthit already forget about him.

But he is still kind to a stranger.

"And why are you studying here, Phi?" Kong then asked curiously.

Arthit scrunched his nose and pursed his lips cutely, pondering the answer.

"Because I was accepted. So I study here."

"Aw."

"But then, if I had a chance to rewind everything and was asked where will I want to study, then I'll choose here again. Because I like it here."

"..."

Kong wants to get Arthit to talk with him more, but Arthit's phone rings. He had to go.

"Hey Nong, Phi had to go first." Arthit apologize. In exchange, he gives Kong something to drink so it would cheer him up.

Kong watched his imprint go. He reach the bottle and opens the cap, drinking thirstily.

A ringing from his phone could be heard, then.

"Hallo?"

"Kongphob, your turn is almost up." Maprang told him.

"I know. I'll be there. Oh, Maprang? Stop looking for my imprint. I found him."
