A/N : dear brain.. you should think it through once you want to do something. Deciding that this fic need a chapter in-between as you already finished the next chapter only makes the heart to palpating.
It's Kong's POV, y'all~
****
It's the lunch break. The first-year is now busy munching their lunch as they still have a class after this. Kong wasn't an exception. He is eating his rice with omelette slowly, because he is busy watching a certain third-year from the corner of his eyes.
The third-year is gathering on the left side of the cafeteria, laughing and joking around as they wait their lunch to come. Arthit's gang, just like another, lounging around at their usual table. Their lunch just came, Arthit as usual, eating a much spicy food as it was his favorite.
Kong bits his lips. He really wants to just throw away his reasoning and trudged forward to talk with his imprint. Alas, he still thinks about everything, valuing his life (note the way he jokes around. But it's true, if his imprint hates him that much and tell him to die, he might do it). He watched as Arthit tried to take the first bite, but promptly puts his spoon down, seems like the food is still piping hot.
He wants to stand and go to his imprint right away. Surely, just a mere hot food can't do much to Arthit. It just need a flick of his finger, and the food would instantly get colder. But then a pin prick like needle come poking at his wrist. A hand also stops him with what he wants to do, grounding him to his seat. Wad who sits beside him raised one of his eyebrows, looking at him serenely.
Ah. Yes. Almost forgot. He coughs and adjust his sitting position. The urge to go over his imprint slowly dissipating. He massages his left wrist, where the ever-present black bracelet from Maprang circling it. He remembers he told the high priestess to add something to prevent him doing stupid thing. He guesses it succeed.

.
He sits almost dazedly at the edge of the pool, blanking his mind. The purity of the healing pool almost always makes him feel this way after submerging himself for a few days. His mind always tried to stay awake, just in case his imprint need him. Forcing him to be in-between, body contracting to accommodate the healing process, but also alert.
A clothe was draped on top of his shoulder, covering his nude body. He saw Wad, of course it would be him, staring down at him. Waiting for him to be out of it.
"How's your body, my lord?" he asked. Kong only shrugged. It's a slow process, doing it like this. Just two days every week, instead of constant submerging for years. It's taking a toll on his body.
It shouldn't have been this way. But when you were at war, you pushed your endurance and power to the upmost limit. It was a risk and a last resort, summoning Seiryuu. Not when he also makes the ice and water golems to fight alongside him. The constant storm at the sea, trying to wreak havoc to the enemy also need a tending. So he was already exhausted.
Wad look at him like he also understands and knows where his mind wanders to. They've been together for twenty years. His trusty messenger knows him inside out.
"I need something stronger than just a barrier for my power." Kong muttered apprehensively. A sudden thought makes him remember that his second phase is coming soon.
"Neeramphorn." Maprang greets him as she comes in. She is in her uniform, no doubt just finished performing her routine for the day. Wad gives her a slight bow which she returned. Both of them are stickler and formal like that.
Behind her, a maiden brought him his clothes and Wad accept it for him. He gaze at the (formal) clothes uninterestingly.
"Can't you give me a plain old t-shirt and jeans? It's more comfortable." He complained. It's always like this whenever he woke up after the submerging. Maprang chuckled at how childish he is right now.
"But it diverted your attention and makes you focus whenever I bring you this." She said knowingly. Oh. Yeah. his mind is fully back in present. And thank the Goddess, Wad is with him now, because he swiftly brings him his usual clothes.
"I need a few enchantments in my bracelet." He told her as he dress. She tilted her head. "I am on my second phase."
"Ah. You think it would hinder you when you thought he is in danger?" she asked distrustingly. He shrugged as a response.
"It's better than having none of it. We can't have me blowing up Bangkok just because he tripped in front of me." He said half-jokingly.
The high priestess scrutinizes him, gauging the seriousness of the situation. It's been a long time since a high-rank lord roaming on earth for a mate. Nobles are usually already busy with their own city or kingdom. And certainly not someone like Kong, who also hold a title like this.
"Ah. Right. I almost forgot." He stops his track as they walk to a saloon for a light meal. His stomach still queasy for heavier food.
"The capturing the flag day. Can we change the schedule so I can attend it?" he knows for a fact that it was one of the important event in hazing. He doesn't want to disappoint his imprint by not coming.
Beside him, Wad rolls his eyes and Maprang sighed.
"Let's see what we can do."

"I'm going to buy another drink." Wad said, and Em also do the same, leaving him alone on their bench. He moodily finished his lunch, still sometimes glancing at Arthit. Just when he was on his last bite, someone suddenly sits in front of him.
"Hi." The girl in front of him said. He blinks almost owlishly. Really. He should scold himself because he (again) unconsciously lowers his guard as he admired his imprint from far away.
"..may I help you?" he still asked in politeness. The girl grins.
"Of course. You're Kongphob, the new Campus Moon, right? I saw your performance at the contest." He stares at the girl blankly, almost uninterestingly, waiting for the reason she was here right now. It seems it doesn't deter her though, because she bulldoze through.
"It's the spring dance, right? It was the first time I saw it, though. It was beautiful." She smiles, trying to be charming.
"I see." He nodded his head, giving her a small smile. If she knew about the dance, then she would be a resident of Itzel.
"I recorded it and show my mom because it was so awesome. She told me about that dance afterwards. She lived in Hiran City before meeting my father here. Personally, I've only been there once when I was 8." She shrugged sheepishly. Now he looks at her somewhat interestedly. Hiran City is in Earth clan dimension. It was famous from its silver accessories.
"I also only have been there once or twice." He confessed. They then discussed about the places they've visited. Comparing about one or two shops they know about.
And then, on the corner of his eyes, he saw how Arthit's face was cloudy. At first, his instinct of overprotectiveness wants to find the source that makes his imprint's face became like that. But he immediately realize, sheepishly, that the glare Arthit throws right now almost blatantly, was directed to him.
Uh-oh.
Right.
A surge of happiness bubbled inside of him. Surely, he is not mistaken? Arthit seems to be jealous. Frowning because he is talking with a girl. Now that he knows what makes his Arthit's mood souring though, he puts his chat to a stop.
"Sorry." He said to the girl, standing up. Wad and Em also come at the right time, ready for their next class. "I have to go for my next class." He throws a polite smile to the girl but not saying goodbye to her, leaving her dumbfounded.
