Kong has just finished rechecking everything on his backpack. The morning come in subdue tone, even though he can see with his eyes how bright it will be when the sun shines right above his head.
With a glance, Kong saw how the curtain on Arthit's room drawn shut. Bright told him yesterday that the hazer team will have a sleep over in Knot's house and will go to the campus together in the morning. He is thankful that at least there's Bright beside Arthit, who would protect his imprint if necessary when he is not there.
Kong feels that he needs to come clean toward Arthit when they're on the beach. Maybe not much, but he thinks it's time for him to confess his feeling. He just hope that Arthit will have the same feeling at him, even though it's not deep yet. He just wants his feeling to be reciprocate right now. Earthian would sometimes has problem to understand how imprint system works, and Kong can't blame them for it. he will gladly be by Arthit's side for as long as the younger man allows it.
The melancholy that surrounding him was interrupted, when he heard a message alert from his phone, telling him that Maprang and Em are already downstairs, waiting for him. So he grab his backpack, and with the last look toward Arthit's room, he exits his room.
"You look nice wearing those clothes." Maprang said as soon as he enters the car.
"Thanks." Kong grins. He had dragged Em around with him when he bought all his clothes before starting term, wanting to be inconspicuous and looks like any teenager around him. looking younger won't hurt when you're in college.
"I'm still scared they would do something to us.." Em half-whined in the front seat, as the car moving forward. Kong saw how Maprang rolled her eyes, exasperated with her own son.
"It will be alright, Em. At the very least, Ma is with you, na." she chooses to placate him, though smiling and reassuring her son with a pat on his shoulder. "And you," she turn her head to Kong.
"Still remember what you promised me?" the tone Maprang chose is more like she is threatening him and not asking about it. he nodded dutifully.
"I promised to submerge myself for a full week after this trip. I won't forget, high priestess."
"Humph. We will see." With a flick of her hair, she turn away and look at the scenery. Kong only rolled his eyes at her antics. He paused as he lean his head on the head rest, observing how Maprang is behaving.
..yes. her body is tense.
"..Will you be alright, Maprang?" he asked her in the end. She jolted for a little bit, but other than that, she gave no other reaction.
"What will be alright?" Em was the one who asked, trying to look at them from his seat.
"Nothing, Em. Ma will be alright. It's been so long since Ma can have a trip like this. I'm going to use this chance to the fullest." Maprang gave a smile to her son who smiles back, content with her answer.
Right. This woman still hadn't told her own son about her imprint problem. Kong gives her a look, but Maprang pursed her lips, shaking her head that indicates she thinks it's not the time for her to impart the news. He wants to argue, because Em should be the first one she told about it. he is the last remaining family of her. But he respect her wishes, and decided to watch outside instead.
