The exams are finally over. He felt like he wants to stretch his body to the limit from all the studying he has done. All the material is a bit foreign after all, as he is accustomed with only military and political affairs all his life.

Today Kong hoped that Arthit's mood will finally lightened. He guessed his imprint is too focused with the exam he looks so frustrated and angry for these past weeks. Not just once or twice he took a peek to Arthit's room and finding the younger man slammed his books out of frustration.

..is it really that hard, the third year's material? Kong sighed deeply because he is finding it harder than a strategic planning for a warfare.

He glanced at the room across from his. The curtain is still drawn, as it was still early in the morning. Wad told him that the hazer team had a meeting till late in the afternoon yesterday and maybe Arthit still feel tired from it. Kong smiled at the thought of his imprint sleeping soundly while hugging his pillow and snuggled to burrow his head beneath the blanket.

The first time he saw that, he wants to coo so much at how adorable his imprint is. Now, he has an urge to take a peek and if his imprint is really in that position, Kong wants it very much to tightened the blanket so the younger man would be wrapped more fully within it, to feel the warmth surrounding him.

Well.. someday. For now, he could only entertain such thought.

The news about the hazing on the beach with what its entailed finally reach the first years. Kongphob is no exception. He feels like wanting to bangs his head to the nearest wall or table though, because, again, it coincides with his submerging. Maprang will have none of it if he wants to skip.

"I don't know if I can go to the beach or not." He confessed to his friends. Wad only heave a sigh, already knows why and Em only bits his lips worriedly.

"Aw. Why not, Kong?" Tew asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Isn't it mandatory? If I can skip, I'll do it like you." Oak said convincingly. The others rolled their eyes at Oak's comment.

"Well.." before Kong could explain, they all heard a loud bang behind him, and was face to face with Arthit's angry face. Kong's eyes widened and Arthit immediately stormed off to another direction. Immediately Kong left everything behind and follow suit.

"Wait, P' Arthit." Kong jogged to catch up with him. As soon as he reach the man, he hold his imprint's wrist. "I'll come to the beach."

Arthit wrenched himself free. "You don't need to do that!" he yells angrily. "It doesn't matter whether you're coming or not. You shouldn't bother yourself with this stupid activity in the first place!"

Kong frowned at this outburst. It's so rare for his imprint to be this angry. Maybe Arthit's mood after exams has not stabilize yet. So he racked his brain to give some kind of an explanation to curb his imprint's wrath. In the end, he settles to half-truth.

"I don't know whether I can go or not because it's coincide with my doctor's appointment." He confessed. It's technically not a lie, as the healing pool is some kind of treatment, and they do have healer at the embassy.

"..Huh?" Kong thinks it's somehow working. Arthit's eyes widened and gaping a little bit. The redness on his face slowly fading.

"..on the weekends.." Kong tries to elaborate, eyes evading contact. He guesses Arthit deserves to know some of it if not for his anger to recede. "It's usually reserved for me to go to the doctor. That's why sometimes I need to be absent."

"..Kong..?" Arthit seems speechless now. Kong hope the emotion reflected from his imprint's eyes are worry and not disbelief.

Kong clenched his fist. It somehow unnerved him, even though he decided to give this half-truth to his imprint. Because he disclosed such a weakness, something he doesn't want his imprint to know.

"I want to go where you want to go, P' Arthit. I really do. I'm sorry that I have to do something else at the same time." Kong's voice somehow become throaty. Oh no.. he doesn't mean it to be this way.

"You.. you're sick?" Arthit makes sure. His voice though, it's so soft it's almost a whisper. Kong can see from the corner of his eyes how Arthit's hand twitch, like he wants to reach him. Kong wished his imprint will really do it. He nodded to Arthit's question.

"Why didn't you tell me anything? You should have told us about it! we-!"

"It's okay, Phi. I want to. I'm healing already." Kong interrupted. He doesn't want his imprint to excessively worried about him. he is alright. He makes sure that he is alright.

"But.." Arthit still won't back down.

Ah. Kong, now you've done it. you've made your imprint worry. The etched between Arthit's eyebrows deepened.

Kong shook his head. "No matter. I'll make sure I can go to the beach when it's time. You don't have to worry about it."

"..does Maprang knows?" the soft whispered question catches Kong off guard. How does all of this have connection to the high priest?

"Wha- ..Maprang?" Kong honestly puzzled.

"Yeah. does she know?" Arthit seems to hesitating. His right hand rubs his left arm a little bit anxiously.

"..yes." Kong thought that it won't hurt telling his imprint this tidbit of truth.

"I see." The younger man nodded his head jerkily and seems to feel awkward to continue the conversation. In the end, Arthit bid his goodbyes just a few moments after that, leaving a puzzled Kong behind.

Maprang rolled her eyes, just like he thought she would do once he tells him he wants to go. "I promised him." Kong said, as she paced back and forth, thinking what they should do. the pacing stopped.

Maprang, for all the power that comes from years of training and innate skills as high priestess, understands him. both of them shares the same fate now, having an earthian imprint. She heaves a deep sigh and massages her temple. Kong let her do so. He can be patient. He already honed this skill many years ago when he plead to rule his city. He will wait until Maprang find him a way.

"Why should I do this again?" she muttered half-heartedly. Kong only smiles. He knew he has won.
