A/N : *evil laughs and then run away*
It's Maprang's POV~
****
It was the day after Capturing the flag, when every student is starting to prepare for the exams. Maprang, Prae, and May are no exception. It was so late in the afternoon it was almost evening. Their head is so full with things they had to memorize they almost get dizzy by it.
"Oohh.. can we stop for the day?" Maprang knocked her head to the table, already given up. Why should she had to agree with Kong's stupid idea again? Right now she want to blasted the library so all the book here would be disintegrated to the oblivion. Beside her, Prae only giggles.
"Girls, are you still studying here?" ah. Em's voice. Maprang remembers bit by bit why she agreed in the first place. She raised her head disgruntlingly and was faced with a bright face of her son.
"Yes, Em. Have you finished for the day?" May asked back. Her son nodded shyly. Maprang wants to giggle. Her son is so obvious sometimes. It's lightened her heart watching her son like this.
"Oak wants me to go to his dorm. There's a new update for the game we like!" Em informed them enthusiastically.
"Ohh, Em.. we have exams soon. You shouldn't play games too much." Prae reminded him. He only shrugged and smiles sheepishly.
"Well. He is a smart boy, and has Kong to teach him." Maprang wants to tease her kid.
"Oohh.. Ma.." Em whined to which the girls giggles to. To outsiders, they only know that Em and her are cousins. So they didn't find it strange when he calls her with a nickname resembling 'mother', even though he is indeed calling her 'mom'. Sometimes having 'Ma' as the first syllabels of your name has its perks.
They chatted for a little bit more before Em said goodbye to them. And it's no use, she can't cram anymore words inside her head. So she begs again. Pleading with her best puppy eyes, impersonating how Kong would usually begs for something. It must be somewhat effective, because the girls finally relent and call it quits for the day.
May excuse herself first because her friends asked her to meet up for dinner, and so it was only her and Prae who walk together today. They're still not too far from the building and was just thinking of having dinner together when rains suddenly drenched them.
"Oohh.. we are so unlucky today~" Prae grumbled, glaring at the stupid heavy rain. It's because she is standing in the middle of the street, with no umbrella on hand. Maprang only giggled. Luckily, she is walking under the roof so she is not one-bit wet. She immediately grab her umbrella and wants to offer her friend to share when she saw a different reality with her own eyes.
It was twilight, with a little tint of orange shyly showing itself in the sky and the darkness silently enveloping. In front of her, there, in the middle of the street with the droplets of water pouring over the lone figure of her friend. The way Prae's pink bra printed perfectly clear on her dampened white shirt.. the clothes clung tightly on her body, accentuating how it was sculptured perfectly. She looks beautiful. Maprang can't help but held her breath. Her chest tightened, as if there's something punching her right there and stay, suffocating her.
Her body trembled. It seems like the spirit inside of her body is leaving her, replaced by the images in front of her eyes. Carved on her mind, and her soul.
Imprint.
She wants to pass out.
She gripped her umbrella. "..I- I forgot I have something to do. Let's just separate here, okay?" her friend stared at her questioningly.
"Are you sure? Do you want me to come?" Prae asked. A little bit worried for her.
"Urgh.. no. it's alright. It's not that far." Maprang rejected the idea. Because she can't be in the vicinity of Prae right now. She bids her friend goodbye and immediately runs.
She needs to go find Kong.
----
The rain is still falling heavily to the earth once Maprang arrived near Kong's dorm. Not far from the entrance, she can see how Kong is already there, umbrella in hand. He approached her in the middle, eyes concerned. She smiles helplessly as Kong rubbed her arms, trying to calm her.
It's no use, her mind is stormy like a tornado in the middle of the sea, the torrent too big for her to handle right now. She finally can see how Kong could carelessly made Bangkok almost snowing for his imprint when Arthit was sad. The burden that suffocates her, the fear.. the willingness to make your imprint happy with whatever it takes.
"Kong.." she choked, showing a miserable expression to the Neeramphorn. The feeling inside of her is so full it still suffocating him.
She hugged the man, burying her face to his chest and clinging to his body as she sobbed. She doesn't know yet if having an imprint is a good thing or not. If having Prae, an Earthian, is a mercy from the Goddess, or a disaster for her.
All in her mind is, she would have to left her imprint behind, as she was sure she'll die soon. It scared her to her bone.
----
"Have you calm down now?" Kong said as he offered a warm tea to her. They're already in Kong's room. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, body still shivering. No, not from the cold of this rainy night. The dreading feeling enveloping her, still. Nonetheless, she accepted the tea and sipped a little bit, hoping it could warming her heart.
He kneels in front of her then, after sometime and she can feel herself calmer than before. He adopts a formal pose as if they're in a ceremony with her standing tall wearing the high priestess uniform.
"Kong.."
"Please." He said. "Allow me to congratulate you for your imprint." Maprang held her breath, but nodded. She saw as he put his left hand to his right chest while he opened his right-hand wide followed by a slight bow on his spine.
"May the sea flourishing and the plants blooming inside your heart, High priestess." Kong congratulates her solemnly.
"Thank you, Neeramphorn." She returns the bow as graceful as she can manage right now. Kong stood up after it, smiling at her.
"You should tell Em now." Kong seemingly become her conscience today. She nodded. Whatever it is, she had to tell her son.
"I wonder what he would think. Having someone as young as he is to be his mother-in-law." Kong chuckled. Maprang stares at him with horror.
Oh for the holy Moon reflecting in the sea. There's still something else she had to worry about!
