There's only silence. There's no tide, no waves, nor a ripple. In the dim light of Terra Room, Maprang kneels, submerging herself in the pool. She prays to make something out of the abnormalities. But only darkness surrounding her as a reply.
She believes there is nothing good happens around the darkness. But she doesn't know what it is yet. It is as if her surroundings blinding her even though she has her eyes wide open. They have to be prepared, with every worst possibility.
With a gasp, she returns to the surface. Nothing. She also got nothing today. The stain glass only reflects the dimly moonlight, illuminating the eerie vibes in the room. Maprang is used with this, but there's something unsettling about it now. Her lips thinned slightly, her eyes shining her displeasure. She doesn't like this nothingness.
She slowly brings herself to the edge of the pool, pushing her body out of it. there's a chime signaling every Maiden and priestess here that she finished submerging, and soon enough a Maiden come bearing her change of clothes.
The garment brushes her skin and feels so rough even though it should not be the case, only the best fabric for The High Priestess. Maybe she spent more time than necessary in the pool, she tells herself. It is time she takes over unfinished business in the embassy. it's no good to neglect it too much.
As soon as she enters the corridor, a figure come into her vision. Kongphob leans on the corridor wall, his usual expression of casualness is no more, replaced with a sharp look in his eyes and a frown between his eyebrows.
"Neeramphorn." She bows as she calls the man. Her greeting is only met with sharp jaws and lips that tightly shut. A tilt on his head inquires her to spill her thought.
"Very well." She said, clasping her hands on the front. "Why don't we sit in my office as Maya here will bring us tea and some snacks? I'm afraid I haven't eaten something since morning." Her words widened Kong's eyes. With a nod, he let himself following Maprang to her office on the west side of the embassy.
It is not a big room, Maprang supposes. But it is comfortable with its light blue walls and many crystal trinkets she has collected over the years. The many colors of the cover books in the wooden shelves also adds life to this room. Maprang let Kong to sit in front of her on the rich brown sofa, silence enveloping.
Both of them sipped at their tea slowly, considering how they would utter the words of their mind. It turns out that Kong let it out first, placing his cup to the coffee table that separates them.
"I heard you spent more time in Terra Room."
Maprang hums. She decided to hear him out before making any further decision. "And?"
Kong has none of the nonsense, it seems, raising one of his eyebrows and staring unimpressedly at her. He crossed his legs and lean to the sofa. "We just got back from the beach, Maprang. Surely you won't think I'm stupid to not connect it."
Maprang sighs, she lowers her cup and cupped it on her laps, contemplating. "I don't know what to say, Kong."
"Is it so difficult of you to say?"
"No." Maprang shakes her head. "On the contrary, Kongphob. I've only got nothing."
"..nothing?" Kong sit straighter now. "Maprang? Is it about the war in Natee Phuri?"
