I smiled as I woke up laying on Ed's chest. I set up and looked at his sleeping form. I smiled as I stood up and left to change into my work clothes.
"Ed baby it's time to get up." I said touching his shoulder.
"Is it that time already?" He asked groaning.
"The early bird gets the worm." I said with a smile.
"It also gets eaten by the cat." He said as I threw a shirt at him.
"Guess I'm glade we don't have a cat." I said with a wink.
He laughed as he got up and changed into his work clothes. I laughed as I straightened up his collar and leaned up and pecked his lips.
"I'll see you at lunch." I said leaving to go to my job.
After working three hours at the hospital I left to bring Ed his lunch. I laughed as he stood up and walked up to me kissing me quickly. I laughed pulling away and pecking his cheek.
"Here is your lunch." I said smiling up at him.
"Thank you. Wanna eat with me?" He asked with a smile.
"Sure." I said sitting beside him.
We ate and talked before a man came up.
"Hey Ed, Lee wanted your help with looking at the body." He said with a smile.
"Sure Jim. Oh Jim meet (y/n) Nygma.... my loving and beautiful wife." Ed said smiling at me.
"I didn't know you were married.... congrats. It's a pleasure to meet you (y/n) I'm Jim Gordon." He said shaking my hand.
"Pleasure too meet you Jim." I said smiling at him.
After awhile I left and went back to work. I smiled as I waited for work to be over so I could go home and rest. I let out a sigh as I hopped into my car and drove home. I smiled as I parked my car and walked inside to my shared apartment with Ed. I smiled as I saw him cooking. I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around him.
"How was work?" I asked with a smile.
"It was great.... you should have seen Jim after you left. He couldn't believe that you where mine." Ed said turning to face me.
"Why do you get so happy when you tell everyone that we are married?" I asked smiling up at him.
"No one thought I would ever find someone.... so now that I have you I want everyone to know they where wrong." He said hugging me.
"I love you."I said kissing him.
"I love you too." He said pulling me into a hug.
