Oswald

I sighed as I stood up and stretched. I got out of bed and put my clothes and makeup on.

I left my house and went to my station as I put my hair in a messy bun.

I heard the door open and turned to face it.

"Miss (L/N) we have a patient for you." Strange said with a smile.

"Name?" I asked with a sigh as I took the chart.

"Oswald Cobblepot." He said as a stretcher was brought in.

I sighed as I looked over him and then I watched them leave.

"Hello Doctor." Oswald said with a smile.

"How are you feeling today?" I asked sitting on a chair beside him.

"Tired.... so when do you thank I will be able to leave?" He asked softly.

"I don't know.... that isn't my decision Oswald." I said checking his eyes.

During the remainder of the visit we talked and chatted before Strange came back to take him away. I sighed as I watched him be taken away and when I knew I was alone I felt tears stream down my face.

"I miss you so much Penguin..... I wish they wouldn't have taken you away from me." I said sadly.

I had been dating Oswald for a year and a half whenever he was taken to Arkham and they made him forget me. I had infiltrated Arkham in the hopes of seeing him again, but when he saw me he had no idea who I was.

"Doctor guess what Oswald is getting to leave." A nurse said with a smile.

"That's.... great." I said with a smile as I left for home.

I opened my door and walked inside before closing it. I went to my room and changed into a nightgown before laying down and closing my eyes and going to bed. After a couple of days I went to see my ex Jim. I smiled as we talked and then I left to go home. I went to my house and saw the door was unlocked. I grabbed the gun from my plant pot and walked inside. I kept walking until I saw a figure on my couch.

"Who are you and why are you in my house?" I asked cocking the gun.

"Hello doctor." The figure said turning on a light.

I felt like I could have cried when I saw Oswald smiling at me.

"Mister Cobblepot.... why are you here?" I asked softly.

"Because I thought it was time for me to come home." He said standing up.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I felt myself shacking.

"I'm home (Y/N/N)." He said grabbing my hand.

I felt tears stream down my face as I tackled him in a hug. I felt him fall back a little but he caught himself and laughed.

"I'm sorry it took me so long." He said softly.

"I missed you." I said as I pulled away from him.

He smiled as he pressed his lips against mine and kissed me happily. After awhile we set down and watched our favorite show together and then went to bed.
