BLACK LIVES MATTER
We all been trying to live up to the potential of people actually liking us. We try fitting in, but it never works in our favor. We try fighting back.. but all that surround us are red and blue. We try living up to what we have to deal with these days, but some of us break.. some of us crash. Others fight. My name is Y/n L/n and I'm a African American living a life of misery. As a black girl in these days we don't get treated as equally as the next white girl would. We get treated like we are shadows in the dark, mist in the sky and dirt on the ground. We have been living this lifestyle for years. Since the first day slavery was acted on to present day now. Why can't we fight back. Why do we have to hold down. Why do we have to dance in the shadows. These are just thoughts that go through my head everyday. The feeling of being neglected is the worst. You feel as though you aren't enough. One question that runs through my mind is why do they treat us the way we should be treating them? I mean why should we have to hold back on the things we have to say?

There is one other black person like me around here in the town of Derry... and his name is Mike Hanlon. We have been neighbors for years and have talked about these things for forever. Since we was young ones we wondered why the people of the lighter color hate us so much.

Today was the hottest day of the summer in Derry, Maine. This is the day we have to do the most delivering, and this is the day we have to stop by Henry Bowers house. We make our last stop at the farthest meat market and town and make our way to Bowers house.
Mike- you think he's gonna be harsh today?
You- when is he ever not..
Mike- you're right

We biked down the road towards the house that we dreaded. Coming up ahead we see the mailbox with cursive writing 'Bowers' we both breathed in and out and biked up to the door. We set out bikes down gently not to make a sound. Henry was always here at this time every time we made a delivery to his house. We walked up to the door making sure not to creek the stairs on the way up. We both dropped the meat and ran down the stairs and grabbed our bikes, but as soon as we set our bikes up.. there was standing Henry on the porch with a prominent smirk.
Henry- oh look! It's the negros of the town!
You- just leave us alone Bowers
Henry- now.. nigger why would I do that!
Mike- just leave us alone!
Henry- oh Mike now you should shut that black mouth of yours-
You- you know what... fuck you Bowers! You treat us as if we ain't human either ! Now let me remind of our history! BACK IN THE DAY US 'negros' WAS THE ONES WHO FED YOU AND KEPT YALL ALIVE. Now I have been trying so hard to keep in my tongue but I'm bout fed up! We are not negros, were black and we are beautiful! Now I suggest you take that damn meat and shove it right up yo ass and have a nice day!

I grabbed my bike and rode off down the road. That day was one of my finest. I showed him that black people aren't beneath them.. I showed him that black people are beautiful and have helped them for years. That day was the day I got beat by the police men.. but instead of feeling bad or hurt. I felt good. I showed one of them that black lives matter.

20 years later...
You- now I make this speech to tell y'all that black people are just as great as you, healthy as you and wise as you. Now I'm not saying we are the same I'm saying we have a quality of life. Whites even nowadays think that blacks are bad people and right now I'm not too happy about blacks today either, but just know black is original.. and black is beautiful. Thank you!

I wanted to make this chapter for all the black people that read my books. You guys are beautiful and wise, caring and beyond anything. We are amazing. Now I'm not downing white people, but we needed a chapter on Wattpad to actually show that. We are amazing and awesome people !
(All my white friends don't get offended, I love y'all too) but I really hope you liked this chapter and I love you guys and thank you so so so much for 7k reads on this book! Love you alll❤️
