I HATE YOU, I LOVE YOU
Mike never really took a liking for Y/n, well that's what he wanted people to think. He secretly took a very big liking to Y/n although she thinks he hates her, but little does she know he is in love with her.

June 16, 1984
The sun was blazing sending enormous heat down to the small town of Hawkins. Today was my birthday, like any other day I help my mom with chores and get dressed. Today was different though, well because it was my birthday but also that it seemed as though everyone forgot.
You- hey momma! You know what today is!
Mom- Uh Wednesday?
You- It's- never mind. I uh have to go.
We exchanged small 'goodbyes' and I went out the door on my way to my cousin Lucas house. I walked through the door and saw Erica.
You- Erica where is Lucas?
Erica- he went to Mike's to do something
You- great... okay byeee
I groaned at the mention of Mike's name. He never really liked me like I liked him. I've always had a crush on Mike, but he's never liked me. I always wondered why but I never asked.
I arrived at the Wheeler's residents and knocked on the door. I waited for a good minute until Ms.Wheeler answered the door with Holly in her hand.
You- hi Ms.Wheeler. Are the boys here?
Ms.Wheeler- they are in the basement y'know per usual.
You- thank you!
I ran down the stairs to the basement and saw all the boys at the table.
You- hey guys!
Lucas- hey Y/n/n!
Dustin- heyy
Will- hi Y/n
Mike- hi..
I rolled my eyes and sat down next to Lucas.
You- what are you doing today?
Lucas- uhm n-nothing much
You- do you guys know what today is!
Lucas- uh Wednesday?
My face fell. They all forgot my birthday. I tried holding back the tears that were ready to spill out any second. I had to get out of there.
You- oh. I have to g-go guys uhm I'll see you guys later I guess
Lucas- wai-
I rushed out the door before I could here anything else. Everyone forgot my birthday. I rushed to my favorite spot, my roof. It may seem a little scary but it's kind of my safe place to think. I like how when I'm up there I feel like I'm on top of the world. I can see everything that I would never be able to see.
I heard a faint sound of my name being called. I looked down to see the gang with their bikes calling me to come down. I rolled my eyes and went through my window. I ran downstairs and opened the door, I hadn't realized I had tears on my face until Lucas called them out.
Lucas- are you okay?
You- no I'm not okay- just- just leave me alone..
I was ready to close the door before Mike put his hand on the door, preventing me from closing it.
You- let go Mike..
He came inside and stepped right in front of me. He was close, like really close to my now red face.
Mike- you're coming with us Y/n/n wether you want to or not, okay? Now get your ass on your bike and follow us.
The way his voice deepened as he spoke to me made me blush even more. I nodded my head and went outside to get my bike, I looked at everyone and they had smirks on their faces.
I got on my pastel blue bike and met up with them on the road.
You- guys where are we going?
Lucas- somewhere! just shut up and ride !
You- jeez.. fine then
We pedaled all the way to Middleton Street where the arcade and my aunt House is. We dropped our bikes in my aunts yard, before I could say anything Mike put his hands over my eyes.
Mike- just follow me, princess and don't peek. Okay?
You- okay
We walked to what I seemed is my aunts porch. We walked in and the smell of my aunts famous chocolate cake filled my nostrils. He uncovered my eyes and everyone I knew yelled 'surprise' and damn was I surprised. I started crying and little 'awh' were said by everyone.
Lucas- what's wrong?
You- I thought everyone forgot my birthday
Mike- we could never forget your birthday, princess.
Lucas looked at Mike and moved his head towards me. I frowned and looked at Mike he had a nervous look on his face.
Mike- uhm Y/n... I've been keeping this big secret. Y/n M/n L/n I am extremely in love with you. I have been for a while.
My jaw dropped to the floor. He liked me back, I smiled and ran up and hugged him.
You- you stupid boy.. I've loved you for so long.
He smiled his famous smile that I fell in love with. Everyone cheered and I smiled really big.
Mike- does that mean you are my girlfriend?
You- yes!
He gave me a big hug and I kissed his cheek making his cheek turn a bright red.
Mom- open your presents
