CHAPTER 84 (w.b)

RIGHT SIDE UP

I walked through the woods, not know where I was or how I got here. I had to run.. I couldn't be there any more. They used me, abused me. Treated me as I was nothing. They fried my brain. Trying to get answers. Hawkins Lab. Where they say I was supposed to feel at home.. they had captured me 2 months ago from my own family. My house. I'm trying to get back home. Dizzy. I stumbled a bit with my hand on my head. Noise. I heard something in the distance. Loud. The sound was loud too loud, it's getting closer. Teeth. Lots and lots of teeth. Fear. That's how I'm feeling. Monster. As it approached me, I froze. I didn't move or run. Black. The last thing I saw.

Month 1
I'm hungry. There is not food. No water. This pace looks like our home but much worst. The air is intoxicated with small flakes falling from the gray sky. Everything is different. There are monsters here, lots and lots of monsters.
I don't know how to get out.. I want to go home.

Month 2
I have started to get used to this place. I've explored everywhere but end up at the same place I started. This place is what Papa called The Upside Down. I had finally remembered what Papa had told me.
Flash Back
Papa- this is the Upside Down.. remember what I told you?
Lauren- bad. place. Not safe
Papa- good.
I smiled.
End of Flash Back
He always told me that I was the most powerful of them all. Then Eleven came and I was pushed away. He thought that her powers were. E-exquisite? He started abusing me because he thought I wasn't trying hard enough. He said I didn't push myself. But I tried.

Month 3
I finally found food and water. I traveled long and hard. A new girl came. Her name was Barb, but she made too much noise. The monster came and killed her. I sat in the corner, silently crying as I watched her die. The monsters ate her. I've learned that being quiet was the best.
I've learned a lot about this place, but I just want to go home.

Month 4
Lonely. I'm so alone. No one is here for me. No one has looked for me. I don't think. I'm scared, I don't want to be here anymore! I want to go home!

Month 5
I walked to the gas station just right outside "Hawkins". I grabbed some food and soda and sat behind the cash thing. I opened my food slowly and began to eat. I've learned how to survive here. I learned that I should just give up.
As I took a sip of my soda I heard a voice. It was small meaning far away. I stood up and looked out the window, I saw a boy walking down the street.
He was small but taller than me. I watched as he walked towards the store and I froze. I ran back behind the cash thing and stayed silent.
He opened the door and came in.
Will- hello? Is anyone here?
I stayed silent. He walked over to where I was and his eyes widened.
Will- uh hi
I looked at him and he had a smile on his face. My face turned in confusion as to why he was smiling.
Will- hello?
Lauren- hi..
He smiled and stuck out his hand, I flinched. He sensed I was scared.
Will- I-I'm Will.. you are?
Lauren- La-Lauren
He smiled and so did I. He helped me up.
Will- how long have you been here!
I put my finger over his mouth, motioning to be quiet.
Lauren- monster. out there. Bad.
He nodded and sat down. I joined him.
Will- now tell me about this place and why we are here..

2 weeks later..
I've grown to like Will. He was kind and sweet. A bit shy at times but overall what I needed. I explained to him all about this place and where I came from.
Will- so you've been here for a while then..
Lauren- yes..
Will- yeah. I miss my friends..
Lauren- friend?
Will- well they are people who are always there for you. They stay by your side no matter what.
Lauren- are we friends?
He blushed and looked down.
Will- well-
We heard a cracking noise. The vines started opening and light started shining through.
I squinted my eyes at the foreign feeling. A woman and man came walking through. I looked at Will and he looked at me.
We came out from the corner and the two people came towards us.
Joyce- Will?!
Will- mom?
Mom?
She ran and hugged Will. I thought she was attacking him so I pushed her off of him with my powers and made her invisible. Will and the man looked at me with wide eyes. I wiped the blood that had slowly started running down my face.
Will- how did you do that? W-why did you do that!
I looked down.
Will- where is she! Where is she!
I started crying and made her appear again. She ran to Will again and hugged him.
Lauren- I'm- I'm s-sorry
Will looked at me and took my shoulders in his hands.
Will- hey look at me.. it's fine
I looked at him with wide eyes. He smiled and kissed my cheek. I blushed and so did he.
Joyce- we have to go Will!
Will- we have to take her!
Hopper- we can't!
Will- why not!
Hopper- she doesn't have anywhere to go!
Will- how do you know that-
Lauren- Mama.. home?
They all looked at me.
Joyce- do you know where your mom is?
Lauren- home.
The woman looked at the man and nodded. They motioned me to come on. We all walked through the vines. As we walked through, the light was blinding. I readjusted and saw where I was. Hawkins Lab.
Lauren- BAD BAD BAD BAD ! NO NO NO
They all looked at me and the man grabbed my shoulders, making me look his way.
Hopper- kid. Kid! Do you know this place?!
Lauren- bad. Papa. Bad!
The man looked at the woman with wide eyes.
Hopper- she's just like the other girl. We have to take her to your house to the others. Let's go!
We all ran out the building. Will grabbed my hand as we ran towards the truck. We got in a drove away.

Will's House
We walked into this house, as we walked through all these people rushed to Will's side. I looked over and saw.. my sister?
Destiny- LAUREN!
My eyes went wide and I ran to her, she engulfed me with a hug. We both started crying, missing seeing eachother. We pulled away and she smiled.
Destiny- I missed you so much sis!
Lauren- home.
She smiled and started crying.
Will- what's going on?
Destiny- this is my sister Will..
Mike- you have a sister?
Destiny- I never told you because I thought she was gone forever.. but she is back
I smiled and looked at Will. I was at home.

Night Before the Snowball.
I had learned new things, these past few weeks. I joined school and I learned that The Snowball was coming up. A middle school dance. I was pretty excited. I also heard that someone ask you to go with him, like a boy. I was really hoping Will would ask me, but he hasn't. I sighed.
