Chapter Five: First Show
For the next day, we were practicing for the boys first performance, as the debut song would be released. We were filming the whole dance today and we first had to get everybody in position to start this whole thing.
Jae-Seung and I would be teaching the boys everything they would need to be able to do for this performance. There was a high chance that you could become recognized at this stage even if you were a level F so you had to put your best foot forward. Though I was a A level, I was well recognized from the start of the show even more because I came from S.M. so everyone was interested in what I was able to do. And I exceeded expectations I have been told, which I was happy for; and then I surprised everyone by leaving the industry after IOI promotions were done.
These boys were trying so hard and it was starting to remind me of the time that I spent in there shoes. The single trainees had their whole company on their shoulders and I couldn't help but feel sorry for them.
I understood these boys in ways that the other trainers could not even imagine because I stood in there shoes only a year ago. "Split up by level," I said through a mic causing the boys to start to move to there own there groups.
Once all of the boys were in separate groups it was time to start directing people to where they are supposed to do. The A-level boys would be front in center and the other groups would come out and join them until all of the boys were dancing together on the stage. It was really cool and was very similar to my own video.
"Alright, A's let's go," I said pointing to the song guy who started the song, and instantly the boys started to dance.
Thankfully they all remembered everything and moved well together thankfully so nobody had to be taught the moves again. "Good okay," I said clapping my hand cutting off all of the music glancing at Jae-Seung making sure everything was going well.
I moved onto the B and C levels telling them when they would join the A's and they would be on a moving platform when they would join the others so they would have to be prepared for this.
It was a very long time before we were fully prepared but when we were it was an amazing feeling. Being able to sit back next to the other trainers watching the boys perform to show the entire world. "You know this is how we felt watching you," Kahi said next to me with a smile on her face.
"I see why you came back," I said giving her a smile of my own.
"Yes, it was truly something that I wanted to do forever," she said her eyes moving to stare back at the boys.
"I know what you mean there is something about seeing dance come to life," I said trying my best to keep myself from crying.
Kahi was so harsh on us when we were in these boys spot she would yell at us constantly, it was hard to see it from her view. She wanted us to be the best we could be so she pushed us very harshly and I was finally starting to understand why.
I knew that I wanted these boys to do the best that they can and some of them didn't feel like they showed that and it bugged me quite a bit. For some of these boys, it was there last chance and I wanted nothing more but for them to succeed. And I knew that I would be pushing them in the future to show us their absolute best or to go home.
All of the boys seemed to be doing really well they remembered the dance and were getting accustomed to the moving panels. But one group was grumbling in the back, not at all happy with their placement.
